We strive to provide 5-star service to all of our guests. If you need anything during your stay, please let us know!
We completed a major renovation of our home in 2007. The renovation included a new kitchen/FR and powder room on the first floor. On the second floor we built a new master BR suite with air tub/soaking tub, and separate shower with dual shower heads; plus a new full bath, shared by the other three bedrooms. The original parts of our Craftsman-style home are very inviting, and relaxing. In addition to the kitchen/FR on the first floor, there is a large LR with built-in oak bookshelves and a cozy fireplace; plus a large formal dining room with a a built-in buffet. Upstairs, in addition to the new part described above, there are three comfortable bedrooms, and a convenient laundry station in the hallway.
Guests will have access to entire house minus the lower level, where hosts stay during your visit. Guests have complete privacy during their stay, but owners are close by if needed. Of the four bedrooms, two offer Queen-sized beds, one has a full-sized bed, and one includes two twin beds.
Interaction with guests
We love meeting and interacting with people, but are totally respectful of guests' privacy needs, and will tailor your experience to suit your needs. Most of our guests have enjoyed the option of having complete privacy in the space, and that works very well for us!
We love our area! It offers a variety of amenities--easy access to the beautiful Minneapolis lakes, parks, trails, Linden Hills shops and restaurants, and easy access to downtown and surrounding areas. Fun activities both summer and winter.
Located two blocks from the bus stop, where you can hop on for a 10-15 minute ride to downtown, the U of M, the Walker, the Guthrie, and a broad selection of local museums, theaters, restaurants, sports facilities, and other attractions.
Other things to note
We began offering our home on Airbnb in December 2014, and as you can see from our reviews, it has been a big hit! It's a lovely place, and we truly enjoy hosting.
There is one off-street parking spot. The driveway is on the right side of the home, where there is room for one car. Please park in such a way as to allow vehicles to enter and exit the driveway.
We also have a cottage/carriage house in back of the property, at the end of the driveway (also listed on Airbnb).
Please remove your shoes at the door, to protect the hardwood floors. We ask that our guests treat our home with care and respect, and leave it in the same condition in which they find it. We do not allow smoking, parties, nor excessive noise, out of respect for our home and for our neighbors. We have a no-pet policy. There is one off-street parking spot. If you have more than one car, please park additional vehicles in front of our house (try to park so two can fit in that space). Please observe check-in (3:00 p..m) and check-out (noon) times, as we need the time to prepare the home between guests.
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund plus service fees back.

I have lived in the Twin Cities area all my life, and have traveled extensively with my husband, Curt, and our three (now grown) children. I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Minnesota (in Spanish and Educational Psychology), and have worked at a private 4-year university in the Twin Cities for the past 15 years.
We started hosting on Airbnb in December 2014, and we are thoroughly enjoying the experience! We have met many lovely people, and we feel really good about being able to open our home and share this fabulous location in this way.
