Forget your worries in this spacious cabin. Close to hiking trails, beaches, lakes, market and restaurants. Kick back and relax on a huge deck with out dining area and gravity chairs. Texada Island has loads of hiking and beaches to explore as the largest of the Gulf Islands with the added bonus of not having any bears, cougars or wolves to worry about. Eagles and Blue Heron fly overhead while deer meander through.

The space
Van Anda is a beautiful small town with very friendly people. You’re right across from Mary Mary Cafe which has great food and just a short walk from Emily Lake (Turtle Lake) which is warm fresh water lake great for swimming. Shelter
Point is a stunning beach a short drive away in Gillis Bay. I recommend downloading AllTrails app which lists hiking trails all over the island and it’s good to know there are no bears, cougars or wolves on Texada so you can hike without concern.

Van Anda is a small, tight knit, quite community. Locals are
Very friendly. There are some nice walks in and around Van Anda. My favourite is the trail which goes to Turtle Lake (aka Emily lake). Just about 10-15 min walk from our property with beautiful & warm fresh water lake with, yes, turtles. I would recommend downloading the AllTrails app which has 33 local trails and maps. Also nice is there are no bears, cougars or wolves to worry about so you can hike carefree.
