The log cabin was absolutely fantastic, very clean and homely. Liz was an excellent host and very easy to contact. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at the log cabin! Liz had started the fire for our late arrival on Friday so it was lovely and cosy when we got there. Everything you could need is at the cabin. We were all very pleased with the electric blankets too! Easy to get over to the ski field. Lovely stay. Thanks!

All very well organised and made to feel welcome. Log cabin was superb - you can tell it has been a well loved family home. Location is very handy for the Tongariro area, if you want to be away from the backpackers and pubs of National Park. Shame we couldn't spend more time in the cabin to make the most of it.

We had a fantastic stay Liz and Tony's log cabin. It was a perfect base camp for Tongariro National Park. Liz was very communicative and the description of the cabin is spot on. The grounds are also gorgeous! We loved waking up and having a coffee on the porch while taking in the beautiful vista. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Great place to stay for a couple of days and Liz went the extra mile taking two of our daughters for a ride with her horse

The cabin and location are beautiful, the area is rural and some distance from amenities. Definitely recommend!

Response from Liz:
Just 6 kms up the road, National Park Service Station has a great range of groceries and there are plenty of restaurants to chose from.

Hi. Tony and I have lived in Raurimu for 30 years or so, raising our family in the Log Cabin that we now invite you to enjoy. We have worked primarily in outdoor tourism so are able to share our knowledge of the area with you, helping you organise activities and make booking. We are also small time farmers with 4 cows and 6 horses. Come and visit and experience the "No stress" life of Raurimu.
