Two double bedrooms in a lovely period home in Poet's Corner, Brighton & Hove. Very conveniently located 8 minutes' walk from Hove train station (on the mainline to London Victoria and London Bridge) and 10 minutes from beautiful Hove seafront.

The space

Lovely period 3 storey home in Poet's Corner, Brighton & Hove.

We have two double bedrooms available. One on the 1st floor, with a double bed, ensuite bathroom with bathtub and electric shower. One on the top floor; a spacious, bright and sunny room with a very comfy kingsize double bed.

We can also accommodate couples with a baby/toddler (we can provide a travel cot and various other things for kids!).

Guest access

In addition to the ensuite bathroom there is a large family bathroom with a bath and power shower. We can also provide a hairdryer and hair straighteners if required to save you space in your suitcase!

There is a fully equipped kitchen which you are free to use and help yourself to tea/coffee/hot chocolate.

We provide clean linen and towels, tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and a DIY breakfast of a selection of cereals, toast and jam.

You are also welcome to relax in the living/dining room and patio garden.

You will have access to free wifi and are welcome to browse and borrow from our book and CD collections. If cycling or skateboarding are your thing you are also welcome to borrow our bikes and skateboard! Hove beach and lagoon are a short walk away, and we can provide you with picnic blankets, a picnic basket with picnic crockery, and beach towels if you fancy having al al fresco DIY lunch/dinner out.

If you need parking we can offer you a visitors parking permit which will entitle you to nearby roadside parking at a cost of £5 per day.

Interaction with guests

We will not be living in the house during your stay - either us or friends/family will greet you, and then will be a phone call away if you have any questions.

Other things to note

We welcome people from all over and all walks of life. Originally from Berkshire/Buckinghamshire, we have lived in Brighton/Hove for 10 years now (minus a couple of years away backpacking) so know and love this city pretty well and will be pleased to give you any advice and tips for making the most of your stay in Brighton & Hove.

We loved our stay at Hannah and Chris' house in Hove. It is a lovely eclectic house (especially if you love Mexico!) in a great location. Parking is a breeze at £5 per day if you have a car. If you don't the bus and train are very close and come often. Brighton is only a 15-20 min bus trip. Hannah was a great host and this was a perfect introduction to Airbnb for our young family. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a brilliant stay here, for me it what makes airbnb so great. We had two 18 month olds with us and it made the trip so easy and relaxing as we had cots, highchair and even toys for them. It was really family friendly but would also be great for child free time as fab location. Well equipped kitchen (including yummy home made biscuits). Thank you Hannah and Chris

Lovely home in a good location. Easy to walk to local shops and cafes and the sea side. Chris and Hannah reply really quickly and left some lovely home baking for us. Thanks again

This is a comfortable and beautiful house. Well equipped with all the essentials you would need in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms and much more besides for instance food for breakfast and chocolates awaiting us in the bedroom. Great location for Brighton, Hove and surrounding areas. The eclectic mix of furnishings and decoration are a joy to behold and are certainly talking points. Hannah and Chris were very prompt with messages and any follow up replies with a really relaxed and friendly welcome on arrival.

Fantastic! As a first-time user, we were not entirely too sure what to expect but from start to finish Chris and Hannah were the best hosts. Incredibly informative, very accommodating and provided everything we could possibly need. The house was warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean, tidy and ideal for our weekend stay. The property provided all that was promised and so so much more. There really is nothing that I can fault. Hanna and Chris Thank you once again for the use of your wonderful home, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend you enough. We wish you all the best and hope that our paths cross again. Thanks Lily & Gang

Discovered Airbnb whilst holidaying in Seattle and are now hooked - can't imagine staying in a hotel ever again! We are ex-backpackers, now forced to travel to slightly less far-flung places with slightly more luggage owing to having three small companions (Jack, aged 4, Joaquin, aged 2, and baby Juno). Hoping to one day fulfill a long held dream to run our own backpackers hostel, but in the meantime really enjoy meeting fellow travellers from near and far by opening our home in Hove to them.

Other than travelling, we love running along the seafront and South Downs, 90s grunge and indie music, beat literature, baking, long lazy Sunday roasts in our local, Gruffalo hunting with the kids in the woods, picnics on Hove beach and meeting fellow travellers.
