Want to get away from it all? Ideally located between Daylesford and Ballarat (35mins to each) our one bedroom bungalow is sure to delight!

Cosy wood log fire. All bedding and towels supplied.

Languages: Dutch, English & German.

The space

Our bungalow was actually lived in by the property's previous owners for two years while they built our home on site.

Attached to our garage it was left unused for many years until we bought the property and started renovating it back as a place for our friends and family to stay.

The bungalow is about 20m away from the main house so you will have total privacy, apart from the occasional kangaroo visitor! A small path leads down to our back door should you need anything!

Guest access

The bungalow price includes use of all linens and towels etc.

Tea and plunger coffee is provided, plus a new coffee pod machine (pods supplied). The kitchen includes a small fridge, microwave, and twin electric hot plate. Note: there is no oven.

New hot water system, TV & DVD player, however no access to commercial TV. A small selection of DVDs are provided.

Portable BBQ available upon request.

If there is anything else we have missed please just knock on our door. We are happy to help you out.

Interaction with guests

We are a pretty active family of four, with two fat cats and a puppy (not allowed in bungalow), Kevin the rooster and Kevin's harem of hens. Our ten acres of bushland keeps us very busy and we will do our best to ensure you have a relaxing stay.

No bookings accepted during peak fire risk periods.

Other things to note

The Bungalow is semi-carpeted (bedroom) with new laminate flooring in the main living area. We recommend visitors bring slippers for inside.

Our lovely log fire will keep you snug inside on a winters day (all wood provided). During the warmer season we attach renshade eco sun filters to the windows to keep out the harsh heat.

We are an environmentally responsible family and provide visitors with Bathroom products suitable for our Eco-septic (including Who Gives a Crap toilet paper who donate 50% of their profits to building suitable toilets in third world countries).

The property is located very much in the bush on a good dirt road. The dirt portion of your drive is only 2km with all other roads sealed.

Please drive carefully as there is a LOT of wildlife in the area.

Great functional cabin with everyone one needs to enjoy the surroundings. Attentive hosts, beautiful property and thoroughly enjoyable fireplace! We enjoy exploring the property being led by the local dog, the peacefulness of the mornings and the reasonable proximity to town. Recommend and will certainly be back!

Liz's place is perfect for a quiet retreat from the busyness of life. Liz is very welcoming and considerate which is much appreciated after long flights.

Lovely peaceful space surrounded by trees. 30 mins to Daylesford and less to Ballarat. Beautiful countryside. Hosts were lovely and they have an adorable dog that isn't hesitant to interact and play the odd game of fetch.. enjoyed our time here.

Liz and Dom were very hospitable. They had the fireplace going before we arrived, and tended to it when we were out for dinner. They also provided us with crumpets, milk, jam, etc for breakfast. Highlights for city dwellers like us included playing with their puppy, Betty; walking around their property, and tinkling on the old piano. The place was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our time there.

Such a lovely property to stay at and very comforting to have the fire place during winter. Liz and her husband went beyond my expectations to accomodate myself and my partner who is in a wheelchair. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, I highly recommend staying here :)

I love living in the bush! After five years living in the Netherlands with my husband we made the decision to move back to Australia and couldn't be happier.

I work in museums and enjoy the history and heritage Ballarat and the Central Goldfields has to offer.
