So much more than a bed and breakfast. Martin and Debbie treated us like good friends. In fact the hospitality began before check in time. We flew in to Adelaide at 5am well before check in but Martin picked us up from the airport for a great (much below Uber) price, and insisted on giving us an extra breakfast. The rest of the stay went in a similar vein, relaxed conversation with complimentary wine, cheese and beer. A particular highlight was a guided tour of the nearby scrub where Martin had assured us we'd see wild roos. He led us to a great spot where we saw dozens, which was fabulous. If you stay here, you will be embraced as friends by Martin and Debbie, who will take every opportunity to help you enjoy your stay.

Martin and Debra ensured that we had a truly wonderful stay at Aldinga Sands. From the welcoming glass of wine on arrival, we felt very much a part of a happy home which provided us with every comfort. Our bedrooms and bathroom allowed quiet and privacy, but we were always able to join our hosts in the large entertaining and eating areas, sharing delicious breakfasts, chats, a game of scrabble, and even dinner on our first night. A few minutes walk from the beach, and backing onto the Environmental Park, the location is perfect. We made the most of daily explorations to the McLaren Vale wineries and restaurants, south to the Goolwa/Victor Harbour areas and returning to Adelaide is easy. We would love to stay with Martin and Debra again ( and Annie their gorgeous little dog!).

Response from Martin And Debra:
Thanks Dorothy. It was a true pleasure to get to know you and Del a little. We hope your trip home goes well and certainly we'd love to see you both again, perhaps with Del's husband another time. Needless to say, Anni was very quiet after you left, I think she is missing you playing with her :-)

Hi, we are Martin & Debra. We made the Sea-Change move to Aldinga's exceptionally beautiful Silver Sands during 2014 and have never looked back.

As AirBnB hosts we have only ever had excellent guests. Increasingly we find that contrary to how people are too often portrayed, the great majority of people are full of warmth, kindness and love.

In our own travels and as hosts we have found the world to be a beautiful kaleidoscope of cultural and ethnic diversity. We delight in meeting people of all nationalities, backgrounds and persuasions.

We are ever amazed by the stunning beauty of our local beaches, the picturesque McLaren Vale vineyards with their world class wines and the magnificent Fleurieu Peninsula coast line.

Our house is enclosed on three sides by the unique Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park - home to hundreds of Kangaroo, Echidna, and several rare and protected bird and plant species. And on the fourth side, just 3 minutes along the board walk, is the delightful Silver Sands Beach.

We enjoy beautiful music: most often jazz (Melody Gardot, Stacey Kent, Nora Jones, etc.)

When it's time to put our feet up in the evening we like to watch a movie or documentary (science, travel).

We also enjoy fishing, tennis, reading and of course travel.
