The space

Find your home away from home in Belfast's best neighbourhood. You'll have the perfect base to explore Belfast and Northern Ireland in a charming Victorian house where old-fashioned features mix with modern comfort and luxury.

The house is also certified with the Northern Irish Tourist Board, meeting strict statutory requirements as a provider in NI.

Set over three floors, the house is spacious, bright, inviting, carefully decorated throughout and offers plenty of reading material (including maps and guides) clean linens, towels and toiletries.

The attic bedroom has a very comfy double bed, and is bright, welcoming and cosy, with a South American feel. The room has a desk, central heating, electric blankets and internet access/wifi. Guests are provided with a housecoat and slippers.

The house is located on a very quiet residential street in the heart of Belfast's Ormeau Road - a safe, family-friendly and diverse area where you can find great restaurants and cafes, contemporary bars and traditional pubs. Only 25 min walk into the very centre of the city and 10min walk to nearby Ormeau Park. Virtually outside the door is the city centre bus stop which will also take you to take to the Botanic Gardens/ Queen's University/Ulster Museum.

Guests who book to stay for more than 4 days may use the kitchen to prepare meals and will be provided with kitchen storage space.

I'm a Belfast native and have lived abroad and travelled the globe. I love welcoming people to the city and to my home and look forward to making your trip special. I have worked in Universities, Colleges, City Councils, Voluntary and Community Sectors and have a life time of community development involvement. I am happy to provide information on city tours outlining the history of the Conflict, and visits to explore the cultural and artistic legacy of the City. Please inquire about optional extra rooms in the house (I have 4 bedrooms) as the Airbnb reservation system shows bookings for only one room.

I have recently moved to Belfast and stayed at Brigid's place while I looked for accommodation. I really enjoyed my stay here. Brigid was an excellent host and I was made to feel very welcome. The house itself was lovely and was in a great location for getting around. I would definitely recommend anyone who is visiting Belfast to stay here.

Fantastic host, I arrived on a miserable rainy night and Bridget was waiting with tea and cheesecake, warm slippers and robe. Just like visiting family. Helped with plans for my 4 days, couldn't have been anymore hospitable.

Brigid is a very thoughtful and helpful host. Our stay was very comfortable and I enjoyed looking at Brigid's fascinating collection of books, artwork and artefacts - so interesting. Brigid's house is also in a perfect location for exploring Belfast, as it is closely situated to a convenient bus route for the city centre. We had a very happy and enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Travel weary and needing a friendly face? Look no further, you couldn't ask for a better host! Brigid made me feel so welcome the moment I arrived. Also, if you're not sure what to do when you get there, she has a lot of great advice about tours, places to visit, restaurants, etc. Her home is kept very clean. The bed I slept in was very comfortable and while the bathroom is shared, I never had trouble getting in when I needed to use it. The kitchen is clean and the home overall is very inviting. I would absolutely stay here again.
