Welcome to Nautilus House, our beautiful family beach house across the road from the lagoon & beach.

Watch the sunrise & sunset while you enjoy dinner & drinks on the deck in our quiet cul de sac.

Walk down to the ocean for a swim in the lagoon or sea. Walk over the hill to secluded beaches and rock pools at Waimama Bay.

In winter snuggle up next to the warm gas fire & play board games or cards.

Nautilus house was built for our beloved parents in 1979 for their family to enjoy.

The space
Nautilus House is a large, comfortable, open plan & light filled space with beautiful views to the lagoon, ocean, surrounding hills and Mayor Island.

The house has 3 bedrooms for 1-2 families or 3 couples plus an attached studio sleeping an additional family/couple comfortably.

We have everything you should need for a great getaway including open plan living with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, BBQ, wifi, gas fire, outdoor dining and a large lawn for children to play on.

The garden and mature trees are full of native birds including Tui, Fantail and the occasional Kereru. We have a growing flock of very cute quail who cross the lawn twice a day.

Located in the sleepy village of Whiritoa, we are across the road from the lagoon and ocean, a 5 -10 minute walk to the local general store, surf club and playground and skate park.
Supermarkets, cafes and great retail therapy are less than a 20 minute drive into Waihi or Whangamata
Countdown supermarket does online grocery delivery to our address if required.
Central locations for day trips to Opoutere, Hot Water Beach, Hahei, the Pinnacles, Pauanui, and Karangahake Gorge and other Coromandel attractions
