Do NOT stay with this person.
Here was my experience: I walked into the hotel and saw that it was very old, stuffy and dirty. My room also did not have an air conditioner. Later, I found out that there was no bathroom in the room either, which Tran did not clearly state on Airbnb. Plus the restroom was dirty and was without toilet paper until I asked someone to bring them up. There was not enough wall plug so I had to ask someone to bring up, which he did after nearly an hour.
Tran’s description on Airbnb was extremely vague, and intentionally misleading to me. The photo shoots were well-done, thus didn’t reflect the actual condition of the room.
I also found out that Tran charged a higher price than the hotel actually does. I had to pay $12.5 for a room that a $10 could buy. Yet the staff put me in the same caliber, communicating to each other right in front of my face.
When I contacted Tran, she denied responsibility. My first message was telling her about the condition and asking for a refund, to which she replied that if I wanted a better room, I should pay 100,000 vnd more, without answering any other of my questions. When I asked her about the refund, she told me “If you didn’t like the room, you should have told the hotel.” After a whole day traveling, I was exhausted and only wanted to rest, and I only ended up staying in the room for about an hour, yet she still told me to pay the full price that she charged. To me, this is ridiculous. Because Tran is the host for this facility on Airbnb, she should be responsible, not passing the bucket to the third party.
Another thing which Tran told me was that even if I didn’t like the room, I still had to pay the hotel for the night. $12.5. IN CASH. Yes, even after I paid on Airbnb. The hotel, of course, said that they didn’t care who she was, and demanded me to pay.
These detais made me feel extremely unwelcome. The customer service was terrible, and I felt like they were only after my money. Please do not stay here.
