The house, an old building recently renovated, features new furniture and fixtures, overlooking the town and the sea of Atrani, smaller sister of Amalfi. Staying at these apartments is a truly unique experience!

The space

The house, an ancient building recently renovated, features new furniture and fixtures, overlooking the city and the sea of Atrani, smaller sister of Amalfi. The exposure of the apartments is perfect: the delicate sounds of nature blend harmoniously with the sea crashing on the beach. It's a truly unique experience!

The two apartments belong to a bigger building and they are ideal for families and groups of friends, due to their central location and the convenient capacity/price ratio. They consist of two large dining rooms with kitchens, 2 full bathrooms, 2 other half bathrooms, four bedrooms, terrace, lemon and oranges trees. They are equipped with every comfort: fan, awnings, kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dishes, pots and everything you need to cook delicious typical dishes of Amalfi, which can be enjoyed in the living room or in outdoor areas.

Guest access

To enter the houses you have to go through some ancient alleys with about 180 steps, the suggestive peculiarity of the town of Atrani. The bus stop, in order to quickly reach the center of Amalfi, Maiori and Salerno, is situated on the sea front, on the main road.

The apartments were in a good location (despite the number of stairs) with a stunning view. Although quite basic had everything you need. Close to the bus station for travelling around. Would stay again.

The pictures of the view do not do this place justice! It was breathtaking. To get this view though, you do have to hike 209 stairs (yes, we counted), which is about 22 flights. It tough with luggage but it's manageable if you're able-bodied. And without luggage it's fine. We stayed in two disconnected apartments, both had beautiful views and were very comfortable. We had 7 people between the two, so amble room. The master bedroom in the top apartment, which has a spiral staircase from the kitchen to enter, has a rooftop terrace with unbelievable views, but there is no door on that bedroom- just an fyi. The A/C in the rooms that had it, worked wonderfully. We had some issues with the washer and the wifi in the bottom apartment, but we weren't in dire need to use them anyways so it wasnt really an issue. Atrani is beautiful and quaint, and only about 10 minute walk to the city of Amalfi where there are tons of shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

The apartments we stayed at were in a very cool location, centrally located with great views from the top of Atrani. Atrani is a charming town, located next to the more touristy Amalfi. If you're looking at this listing, you should know that you'll have to climb nearly 200 stairs and navigate narrow passage ways to get there. This is a very cool/interesting experience but it should be disclosed very clearly in the description of this property. If you're in good shape and traveling relatively light, it's totally fine. If you have a lot of luggage and have trouble taking stairs, this would be a tough location. I wouldn't recommend it. The apartments are fine; clean enough, good sized kitchen with the appropriate wares. Bathrooms are good too. The view and patio areas are awesome but the apartments are relatively spartan and unfinished. We never met Stella who I booked the trip with, it seems like she manages several properties for owners in the area. Instead, we met one of her assistants, Giovanna. When we arrived, we waited about 15 min for Giovanna to meet us on the side of the road(family trip-7 adults and a baby), we climbed the stairs with luggage, not knowing how many we had to climb, so it was somewhat of a challenging experience. Adding to this was the fact that one of the apartments was not cleaned and was still a mess from the last group that stayed. Our first impression was not good but Giovanna got the cleaning person to come, so we stored all our luggage in the one apartment that was ready and went to get food. When we got back, the apartment was ready and made a much better impression. If you stay here- be sure to check for all the supplies a host may normally provide- towels, hand soap, toilet paper. We had to buy more toilet paper and ask for the crib for the baby which we had arranged for prior to the stay. I assume our initial experience was not typical as other reviews are good but I felt an obligation to disclose the events we experienced. All in all out group had a great time in Atrani and enjoyed the stay.

Can this location receive six stars? First a little context: my work has taken me to most major cities in Europe, North America and Asia. I can become a bit jaded about travel... a 'been there, seen that' attitude. I wasn't prepared for how special Atrani would be: its setting, its people, its overall vibe. This unique location seamlessly the mountains and the sea. The villa is quite comfortable and provides a great vista to see this special place as well as a great launching point from which to explore the town

Stella was extremely helpful and accommodating with us, waiting for an hour when our other travelling companions were late due to the traffic. The neighbourhood of Atrani is stunning and I would recommend staying there over staying in Amalfi, which is only a 10 min walk away. The standard of restaurants in the town is of a very high quality considering the town is small.

We had a fabulous time at Atrani in the newly remodeled apartments. The location of the apartments was picture perfect with great views of the coast from our living and bed rooms. The apartment is centrally located and convenient to visit Amalfi, Positano and Ravello. Every day we ended up in the Atrani Square for breakfast and really enjoyed people watching and socializing with the local crowd. Apartment has a steep climb and not easy if you have fitness issues.
