Explore the natural beauty & history of the Tennessee Valley while staying in a unique farm cabin surrounded by over 50 llamas & babies. Most of the living space is handcrafted including sawmill lumber cabinetry, black iron pipe light fixtures, a farmhouse sink, and log/shiplap walls. It features a full kitchen, granite tops, a French rain shower, gas fireplace, and a large porch to view the llamas and mountains. Perfect for honeymoon & anniversary couples, small families, and "llama lovers."

The space
The quaint 700' square foot cabin is made out of sawmill lumber siding with cedar beams. We built it using three distinct styles including farmhouse, industrial, & steam punk to make it a one-of-a-kind place to stay. You will feel the inviting texture & smell as you enter the cabin. The first thing you will notice is the large king size bed made out of lumber from an 1800s barn in the Appalachian mountains. As you lie back in the bed, you will feel the comfort of a thick premium mattress & pillows while possibly seeing a random llama peeking in the window to see who is visiting. The full size kitchen includes handcrafted Tennessee poplar sawmill lumber cabinets with striking granite tops, a farmhouse sink with "canning jar" lighting, stovetop, refrigerator, & dishwasher. You will see Ms. Carolyn's signature llama pottery coffee mugs hanging above the handmade coffee bar and stoneware plates & bowls. The dining area bar is an old 1950s industrial shop table. It has been reconditioned to serve as a dining area or computer workspace. Hanging over the bar is a handmade black iron pipe light fixture w/ Edison bulbs. Sit back in the living room area while reading a book in front of the corner gas fireplace stove. Venture into the hallway to see the two sliding barn wood doors that lead to the bunkhouse bedroom and bathroom. Take time to enjoy an "old world" moment in the unique French Rain Shower with Italian tile. Then go outside on the porch to enjoy a glass of wine while sitting in an old Amish porch swing and watching the llama babies play in the pasture. It doesn't get any better than this!!!

Carolyn & I are retired educators and have been married over 40 years. We live on a 25 acre farm and have raised llamas for over 20 years. Our life motto is "There is a destiny that makes us brothers, none goes his way alone. All that we give to the life of others, comes back into our own." We have two rentals for you to choose from. The first rental is our new "Llama Lodge" opening October 2021. Our second rental is the "Llama Chalet Camper" in the Lazy Llama Campground on our farm. We joined with Kelley & Bill Massey to provide you a beautiful Forest River RV Camper to enjoy our farm. We hope you come to visit us at Walnut Ridge Llama Farm.
