This beautiful new downtown loft overlooks the city and cobblestone streets of Morris Avenue in a newly restored historic building with a modern industrial flare. Walking distance to several bars and restaurants and convenient to any downtown location! Spacious interior with everything you need for a comfortable stay- a blend of bohemian and traditional style furnishings, full kitchen, bar seating, living area, bedroom with a large walk in closet and a large balcony overlooking the city!

The space
You’ll have the whole place to yourselves! There is also a shared rooftop patio on the same floor overlooking Morris that guests are welcome to use! The building has a cool pedestrian walkway that runs along the lower level connecting Morris Avenue and 1st Avenue N. Because it’s so new, it’s not fully leased yet, but there will soon be restaurants, art galleries and boutique shopping in the lower level of the building!

Where you’ll be

Birmingham, Alabama, United States

Birmingham’s downtown has gone through quite the revitalization in the last decade or so. There’s still a lot of potential for growth but Birmingham has some world class restaurants, important history and cool opportunities for urban exploring, as well as some beautiful nature not far from the city! You’ll be in the heart of it all staying at Mercantile on Morris! The rotary trail runs from Railroad Park to Avondale and is a fun way to explore the city on bikes or by foot. The Civil Rights Institute, Birmingham Museum of Art and many restaurants, breweries and bars are also just a short distance from the condo.

I work as a Spanish interpreter and also own a small residential construction company that focuses on sustainable buildings and design. I love the outdoors, traveling and try to explore as much as possible! I enjoy meeting new people and learning about different ways of viewing the world. Birmingham, with all of its complicated history has become such a cool city, and we love sharing it and all that it has to offer with our guests. Chris, my boyfriend, is also a Birmingham native and local artist and comedian so usually there’s an art show or comedy show happening that we can tell you about!
