Come and stay with us, in our large, ground floor room. Spacious, with vintage features and a real fire, a firm double bed & 2 single fold out chair beds.
Newly installed large rainfall shower, and new toilet. Shared family kitchen, & use of the ground floor sitting room. With our friendly family & large garden you'll feel very welcome and right at home.

The space

Our house is one of the few remaining houses in the area that is not divided into flats. It has plenty of character, with original features and lots of our own personality stamped on top. We have been here since 1998 renovating, doing a lot of the work ourselves and there are still a few bits left to do; so if you like shiny, modern, angular, spotlessly clean spaces, please find somewhere else!!
There is a large garden, with a barbeque, patio table, lawn, lots of trees, and even a hawaiian bar and..... a tardis.
There is off-street parking for those guests who are bringing a car. We also have indoor bicycle parking space should you want to come by bike.

Guest access

You will have access to your own lockable room on the ground floor, no trouble to get to with lots of baggage! The new shower and toilet is on the first landing, and in addition there is a downstairs toilet with a washing machine. The kitchen and family room are also available for you to use and you are free to cook and just hang out with us there.
Tea, coffee, cereal and toast are included in the price.
The large garden is also available for guests to enjoy.

Interaction with guests

We are a busy, large family with three kids, and five adults in the house.
Tom is a fully fledged Scouser with loads of enthusiasm and knowledge about Liverpool. Should you need any help, advice or suggestions about what to do while you are here, he will be glad to pitch in!
We also have a massive collection of books about Liverpool and lots of maps to help you plan your time here.

Other things to note

The room has one double bed and one double sofa bed. 2 extra guests can fit in the room using the double sofa bed. We also have a travel cot for babies if required.
Please note we always clean before we have guests to stay but this is a large, old, Victorian house, and as such, will always have the odd dusty corner! Remember as this is an Airbnb room, there is no daily room service; bed-making and tidying is your responsibility for the duration of your stay. Bed-linen and towels will, however, be changed after 7 nights for longer stays.
Late check-in after 9pm is possible by special arrangement and may incur an extra charge of £10. Checkout before 12 noon.

Set in a large building with lots of character, the bedroom is probably the grandest I've stayed in through Airbnb, and maybe ever. Tom immediately made me feel welcome, and was very helpful with tips and stories to immediately induct me to Liverpool. The location was great for me as I wanted to see Sefton Park, Princes Park, local neighbourhoods, and the city centre.

If you want a very nice bedroom with a very pretty decoration, and hosted by the friendliest people, that's the place to go.

Kate and Tom were lovely, warm, and welcoming hosts. Although we ended up arriving very late due to a flight delay, they were very accommodating of our arrival. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with easy access to the toilet down the hall. The upstairs shower was recently renovated with beautiful tiling and a rain shower head. Parking was easy in the driveway as well. We were welcome to have breakfast in the kitchen and to use those common spaces, which are homey and cozy. The location was wonderful for exploring Liverpool, within walking distance from the park and Lark Lane, and an easy drive or bus in to the city center. We have moved to Liverpool recently, and couldn't have felt more welcome than with Kate, Tom, and their wonderful family. They were very helpful with tips about things to do and see, and also recommended areas of the city for apartment hunting. Highly recommended for a stay! Thanks, Kate and Tom!

Central Liverpool easily accessed by nearby buses and I was able to leave my car in Kate and Tom's driveway. Great places to eat within walking distance. I was very well looked after by warm and welcoming hosts and their family.

This place is gorgeous! Beautiful house in best location. A nice room, clean, comfortable, and tastefully equipped. But most of all, the hosts are adorable people. Helpful, heartwarming, and always great company. I would come back any time.

Kate, Tom and Family were all lovely to meet and stay with! Their house is an amazing piece of history and they have done a great job of retaining the character while making it their own. They had lots of great tips about Liverpool and were excellent hosts! We would recommend them!

Kate & Tom User ProfileKate & Tom is a superhost.

A slightly eccentric couple, immersed in local culture. Between us we have very diverse interests - Tom is the philosopher, loving theatre, music, comics, campaigning. Kate is the practical one, loving to be creative, constructive, read, organise, plan, and generally ensure the house ticks along.
We have travelled a lot, and love staying in backpackers hostels although this happens less now we have the kids in tow. We really enjoy having people to stay and have hosted lots of visits in our time in this house.
We are both very passionate about Liverpool and what it has to offer and really try to do our best to ensure our guests get the most out of their visit.
