Eugene and Mary were amazing host. The house is very comfortable in a residential neighborhood. They take time to make you feel comfortable. This was my first time in a shared home, private room and I felt much at home. I felt like I was spending night at my cousins house.

Eugene was very helpful to give me a room when he was not sure it could be available. His house was easy to find, in a nice neighborhood in a good part of town. The noise from the road was noticeable (but he had earplugs handy to use). The room was not very clean. There was a lot of dust in the room, and something crusty and booger-colored yellowish green stuck in the carpet. it stuck to my sock and I was pretty disgusted. The bathroom floor had hair on it and the bathtub had grayish dirt around the bottles. There was no toilet paper! Eugene was friendly yet very busy too.

Eugene was great! He was so informative of anchorage and helped me find things I needed. His gf is also really sweet, I feel like I made two really great friends! The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is shared. Everything is clean and the wifi is great! There is a little bit of road noise from the window but nothing a few earplugs won't fix. Overall a great stay!

Eugene was great! He communicated well and made the entire experience worry free. He gave me many recommendations for food and activities, and we went out one night for dinner and drinks downtown.

I stayed overnight at Eugene's on a trip through Anchorage. I never got to meet Eugene, but I did meet his girlfriend and she was very helpful. Location is very close to the airport. Amenities were decent.

I had an amazing stay in Anchorage and it was mostly due to staying at Eugene's place. The home is very well situated, in a nice neighborhood, and close to the airport and city. It's a bright, airy, and comfortable home. But the greatest part of my stay was Eugene himself. He was the most wonderful host! From the moment I arrived I felt like I was staying with a friend. Because Eugene was off that day, he offered to pick me up from the airport, which he did not have to do. But it gets better :) Within an hour of getting to Anchorage, I was hiking on a beautiful trail with my host and his friends. Yes, Eugene took me along with his friends on a hike, which we followed with dinner and drinks. It was so great to be with great people, local people, having a really fun time. It felt like I was visiting a friend... and nothing like staying at a stranger's house in an unknown city. AirBnB has a new ad running saying not to visit places but to live there by staying with those who do. Eugene should be their spokesperson because he is the perfect AirBnB host. He embodies the philosophy of that slogan. Thank you Eugene for going out of your way to make my stay in Anchorage warm, authentic, and fun!

Eugene had a great place very welcoming exactly what I needed for my short stay close to the Ted Airport. Eugene had to be one of the best Airbnb experiences I stood at, he kept me updated letting me know if I needed help with directions just to give him a call. Most my host or past Airbnb reservations I never got to sit down and talk with since I was out and about but I just needed somewhere to stay a night before my flight wash up and pack out. In this case he went beyond Host duties and invited me out to see the last best spots of Downtown Anchorage. I left Anchorage in a great vibe and wishing I could of stood longer dancing and exploring Alaska. Thanks Eugene and Marie for being such amazing people and showing me a good time on my last night you guys were real down to earth and friendly to let me tag along on a night out. If I ever visit Anchorage again for sure looking up to stay here again before I pick anywhere else. Appreciate your hospitality during my stay Thanks Eugene!

Born and raised in Anchorage, AK. Lived in Los Angeles for 5 years and made it back home. Love to get out and enjoy the Alaskan lifestyle during the summers with a lot of hiking! I also enjoy reading, working out and and playing guitar.

I live a busy lifestyle so I am not home much, but I do enjoy connecting with my guests when I can.

I enjoy meeting new people of all different cultures and backgrounds and look forward to hosting you!
