The location is ideal. It is within walking distance of many sites including the Vatican if you don't mind a half hour or so walking, which we didn't. There are many wonderful restaurants and a grocery store and pharmacy just around the corner. The small bar downstairs is really handy and the owner so nice. There were breakfast pastries & sandwiches and you could have a coffee or wine. The views of the Tiber River and it's arched bridges were beautiful. Flavio was always there for us if we needed him. Even calling us a taxi for the airport as there were 4 of us with lots of bags and most cabs can't handle that much, so we needed a van. A downside to this apartment would be the street noise. We live in a downtown city area so we are accustomed to street noise; however, this was a major thoroughfare used 24 hrs. a day with lots of motorcycles and emergency vehicles. If you have a problem sleeping with street noise, either get some good ear plugs or find some place else. One other issue was the hot water. There were 4 of us and, no matter how frugal we were with our showering, there was not enough hot water. Even with staggered shower times and reduced time in the shower, we would run out. We managed it and were OK, but if we were going to stay for an extended time I think it would have been very frustrating. Overall, we enjoyed the apartment and would recommend it with those caveats.
