A perfect place to visit Oxford. Ian, Georgina and their daughters are so warm and lovely people that you feel at home at once. The barn is cosy and the garden is beautiful. Right across the street is a nice cafe with delicious breakfast. All you need is within walking distance. Would definitely come again when I'm in this area.

Georgina and Ian are lovely people and very personable and accommodating. Anytime I had a question before and during our stay they got right back with me. The location is picturesque! A wonderful bakery and other places to eat very close as well as close to the bus stop. I enjoyed being able to prepare meals for our son who is in school abroad over in Wheatley and we were able to stay somewhere that felt like home.

What a beautiful and historic place! So much character. We loved our stay in Oxfordshire and would highly recommend staying here! We were made to feel so welcome. Excellent communication. There was a cafe / take aways / co-op just near where we were staying. Perfect! X

Wheatley is well positioned for a visit to Oxford and the village has sufficient services to not necessitate seeking out basics, groceries etc. The locale is not as picturesque as one might have expected from the photos of the property.

Fantastic trip! Ian and his wife are warm, kind. they show us how to shopping, how to get cheaper ticket to go to downtown. they know a little chinese life, we have more understand with each other. 5 min to church, 5 min to a big shop, 1 min to a small shop, 3 min to bus stop, 2 min to local food 'fish and chips' and a bar. The house is with history logo and culture character. It is a small and queite place, we love so much. 房东说我们是第一次造访的中国人,而他们也给予了更多的关照,特别是在取暖的特殊要求下。房间的布置特别注重细节,哈哈,可以感受到这是一对热情又有修养的文化人。严格作息、健康生活的素食主义者。

Host was very responsive and available but we didn't need much. The recently renovated cottage was extremely easy to enjoy and had everything one might need. Being in the centre of a small village was sweet and local services were more than sufficient, including convenience store, bakery, butcher, groceries and Indian restaurant. The host's garden was great; lots of privacy - more than I would have expected for most BnBs. Feels like a village but is an easy walk to bus routes and a short drive to the highways going to London (including the airport buses) or Oxford. Highly recommended.
