Ann was the best host, answered all of our questions, made us feel very comfortable and at home.

Ann's home in Sedgwick, ME topped the list for our favorite Airbnb stay to date. The home felt private and so well appointed. We were surrounded by woods, with quick access to great restaurants and quaint neighboring towns. There was a clear view to the water from the screened in porch and we spent our first afternoon picking wild blueberries from the surrounding fields. The layout of the home flowed perfectly for a traveling family - the cabinets were stocked above and beyond any normal expectations we have ever had for an Airbnb. The kitchen was a dream for my husband, who is a professional Chef. He could cook while interacting with company in the open floor plan. Ann made herself available to us and we were most thankful for her guidance when needed. She even had printed travel guides available in the foyer for her guests to find their way around the local area. We so greatly enjoyed our stay in Sedgwick, ME. We are already plotting our next trip up. It is without question that we would return to Ann's beautiful home on Caterpillar Hill.

We stayed with 6 people total - with 3 bedrooms (plus the futon in the study) and 3 full bathrooms; plenty of seating in the living room and dining room - we were all very comfortable throughout the week. We also enjoyed the screened-in porch - with its comfortable seating and outdoor lamps it was a great place to sit out and read or relax after being out during the day without worrying about mosquitoes (during the day there is additional outdoor patio seating that can be enjoyed). The views out to the water across the blueberry field were magnificent - the water views are visible from the screened in porch or house albeit with a few trees in some spots but are completely unobstructed upon a short walk down the driveway. The location is very nice for those that enjoy both the Blue Hill area and the Deer Isle/Stonington area as its a short 10-15 minutes up to Blue Hill and short 15-30 minutes down to Deer Isle/Stonington not to mention only about 10 minutes over to Bagaduce Falls/Lunch and several other nice spots in the area.

This is perfect for a family or a few couples to get together. The location to all the little towns is so convenient. But the BEST part is the beautiful home with all the windows looking out to the trees and the nice backyard. Screened in porch was perfect to relax and read

Ann's home was beautiful and very well appointed. The pictures don't do justice to the space, it's quite spacious and very modern amenities. The kitchen was fantastic and great for cooking and entertaining. We hiked around the property and on local trails through the island heritage trust and blue hills conservation. There was plenty of firewood and we used quite a bit of it! It was very quiet and serene with distant water views and nightly sunsets. We were lucky to have 4 WD getting up the drive, it was a bit Icy but friends of ours did not and were fine.

Thank you Ann for letting us use your home. Both the house and the view right out the front door were perfectly stunning. Bright, clean and spacious. The kitchen is large and stocked well for cooking, and a full laundry room. There are plenty of places to go to get away and relax while family could safely play, both indoors and out. Having young wiggly children wasn't a problem as even though it was a very luxurious house it was clear of any breakables. And our boys loved the gym outside. The house is extremely large and had 3 full bathrooms and 8 places to sleep. The 3 we chose were more than comfortable. The only downfall was our boy's disappointment when we said we wouldn't be sharing the set of 4 bunk beds with them. Plenty of music, movies, books and games. We loved taking a glass of wine out the front door to watch the sunset over the mountains and then coming back in to a nice fireplace and movie. Then hiding in a warm bubble bath and retreating to a fireplace next to the master bed. Spent a day in Acadia and the rest at the house. Quite a few places we called were closed for the season starting the first weekend in October. The phones didn't work well, but the internet did. Ann was quick to answer questions. We more than loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back when we can. A perfect getaway. Thank you again from The Pieper family

Ann's house is beautiful and modern and the setting is amazing. We loved the foliage and bay views and felt connected to nature. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and her recommendations for things to do in the area were comprehensive. The central hangout areas feel cozy and connected while the layout of the bedrooms provides for privacy. We loved our stay!

Response from Ann:
Thank you, Stacey, what a nice review. I'm sorry you couldn't recycle because we always separate the trash and recycle at the dump. There are two bins under the sink for that purpose. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, not a full bed.
