Guest access

Guest has access to any area of the house except the private bedrooms that are rented and host bedroom. If your cell service doesn't work in your room well, we prefer that you respectfully make your calls in the front or back yard rather than other parts of the home that are shared in order not to disturb anyone else.

Edna and Fleming were the best hosts I've ever had at AirBNB! They were more than accommodating for all of my needs throughout my stay. Their home was very well kept, tidy, and cozy. The room was spacious enough for me and my dog and all of my belongings. I was surprised with the ideal location of the house, and the nice creek in the back yard. I saw a baby deer and a mom in the backyard while I was letting my dog out. t's a very nice spot! I am most definitely going to stay here again, and would suggest them to anyone!

Check in- The check in was at 11am but I arrived 20 mins early thinking the host would be at home anyways. No one was at home and they did not get my calls. They called me at 11am and said they would be here in 5 mins. They came and no one said sorry to me for being late. During the stay- the room and their room and bathroom are all crammed in a small space which means you will hear everything. Thus this makes it very uncomfortable especially when one of the hosts start taking a shower at 3 am. Just keep in mind the door will automatically lock by itself if you close it too tightly and it makes such a loud creaky sound every time- hinges need to be oiled. Accuracy- the description says that we should buy our own toilet papers after 2 weeks of stay or something but she told me to buy on the 4th day of the stay. The room and overall house are not as bright as the pictures. Very dim actually. Conversation- I noticed that she has a characteristic of passive aggressiveness. Overall I would not recommend staying here unless this is your only choice and just looking to stay for a day or two. They seem nice as a person but lack professionalism as an airbnb host(URL HIDDEN) P.s. If you hate bugs this is not a place for you. It is in the middle of a creek and I found multiple bugs and spiders during my stay.

Response from Fleming & Edna:
Yenni, thanks for your opinions. Being 20 mins early was your choice & you can't expect to inconvenience a host with that. We have had guests that never whine about any of the things you brought up. They all knew how to use regular door locks. None of them ever carelessly locked themselves out of the room. Hotels would work best for you, not people's homes. We could have mentioned in your review, the stress your UNTRAINED dog put my wife & I through & how dirty your rice-cooker was before my wife cleaned it (leaving the stale rice to spoil)... but we are not petty & prefer to write mature reviews. Are you sure you are a dog trainer- because that dog doesn't listen to you at all. I ran out 2 times, 1 time bare-foot, to help you chase your dog that run wildly into the streets. My wife even drove her car in the search to assist. You never thanked us, not once. Very few Airbnb hosts take pets & a dog that large, they won't even consider. Instead of having an "entitled" attitude, being appreciative of others help will get you further in life. We will continue to open our doors to help & host people in need of a place. We know a few bad eggs will show up. Its been about 6 great blessed years! We wish you all the best...

Edna was a great host initially and we had some great times. I spent my birthday dinner with her, so you can guess. A great company when she wants to be. Always had a suggestion if you needed. She did have some tough times like phone theft, a food stealing guest and a bad bout of cold during my 6 weeks stay. So, I wd give her some benefit of doubt on the incessant communications. Fleming was in Nigeria and I only saw him on Edna's screen I think I became too friendly and hence was taken for granted a bit. On the day of my check out, she came in to the room and removed my bedding around 7:10am, while I was putting some of my luggage into the car. This happened even though I had told her I will be checking out at 11:30am.

Good things: 1. The room specifically, and the house generally was pretty clean. 2. The kitchen was well-equipped, with a big fridge and a powerful microwave oven. 3. The location was good. Particularly for me, because my workplace was not too far from it. Bad things: 1. The room was NOT Air Conditioned, and it got searing hot inside. I asked her about the A/C and she said that there was one in the living room, so I could either leave my door open, or open the windows. Opening the windows didn't help at all, b/c those days were pretty humid. I didn't want to, but left the door open one evening for a while, but the A/C was very small for the large living room, the open basement, and my room. So, it didn't work. I was literally sweating some evenings. 2. The host was rude when I texted to ask her where the washer was on the second day of my stay. She responded saying that usually the guests traveled with clean clothes, but I could use it if I wasn't able to do laundry before I traveled. I told her that I was traveling for a while and the last place I stayed didn't have a washer. It was pretty rude, and judgemental. Besides, if the washer is listed as an amenity, it shouldn't matter when I use it. That really turned me off. 3. I mistakenly burned a stove burner cover, and the host told me the price and offered me to buy herself and have me reimburse, OR buy it myself. Fortunately, I was going to walmart when she texted, so I said I'll buy. Right away, she insisted to buy it herself so that it would be the 'right' thing. The price that she wanted to charge me was actually DOUBLE the price for which I got the set of 4 covers. It was pretty infuriating to know that she was doing that. 4. The laundry is in another guest's room, and I was really uncomfortable using it once he had checked-in. The iron was leaking water like crazy and it ruined one of my shirts. Overall, she was not courteous and I would NOT recommend anyone to stay there.

We are newlyweds!!! Guests love our home and rooms because of its awesome location, affordable price, great amenities, and cozy humble environment. We are entrepreneurs that travel often for work, family, and ministerial purposes. We appreciate meaningful conversations (though our time is limited due to work), believe in cheerfully respecting our guest space and expect the same in return (especially being that we office out of our home). If we decide to rent to you, we want you to feel comfortable and welcomed!

*Three Great Options: We have two rooms listed on Airbnb 'A Modern Look in a Country Setting' and 'A Stylish Room in a Peaceful House' or the home for specific dates. If one option is already booked, check to see if the others could be available.
