This charming country home, sleeping up to 8 people, has everything you will require for a comfortable, relaxing, quiet holiday. The kitchen is very well equipped for self-catering and contains plenty of equipment for serious cooks and eaters.
Guests have the house to themselves as well as of the private, enclosed garden at the rear of the house. There is sufficient room to park a car or two off the road in front of the house.
Interaction with guests
We live a few minutes away from the house but are available on the phone if any help or information is required.
Other things to note
The house has three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twin (bunk) beds. Additional sleeping accommodation is provided by a double sofa-bed in the sitting-room.
Originally the house was in two parts - the dwelling house itself and a workshop/barn on the side. The upstairs parts are still separated by a wall nearly a metre thick. There is a staircase leading from the kitchen to one of the double bedrooms and an adjoining bathroom with WC. Another stair leads from the sitting-room to the second double bedroom; the twin (bunk) bedroom; the second bathroom and a separate WC.
The kitchen is equipped for keen cooks with all that is needed to enjoy the huge range of local produce available in the regional markets.
The house has electric heating throughout (electricity is included in the cost). There is also a wood-burning stove in the sitting room for that extra cosy atmosphere.
I first visited Normandy as a teenager and fell in love with it the minute I tasted my first coffee and croissant in a bar in Cherbourg! I've lived all over the UK but have always liked being near the sea. I spent a lot of time on small boats, which meant frequent returns to Cherbourg. As a result I got to know the area quite well.
