The perfect base to explore nature, wildlife and extreme adventures on the Panorama Route. Set in a tranquil farming environment with breathtaking views over the escarpment. Restaurant and pub on site, wi-fi available in a homely atmosphere. With the restaurant and pub on site there is no need for self-catering.
Your deck overlooks the eastern escarpment with breathtaking views over banana farms towards the Kruger Park. Accommodation is in four garden cottages with 2 rooms en-suite each. Two of the cottages have inter-linking doors for easy access to children. Each cottage shares a deck out front with a rustic benches and tables. Rooms are en-suite, cool in summer and warm in winter. A coffee/tea station, tv, microwave and small safe are standard in all rooms for your convenience.
An outdoor pool provides relief on hot summer days, with a pub and restaurant accessable from open walkways from the rooms. Head Chef and proprietor of Thyme Restaurant, Paul Shepheard, will delight you with scrumptious meals, and ice cold drinks. Here you can mingle with the locals, catch up on wi-fi, enjoy a game of pool or watch sport on the big screen. Children are loved and valued and special provision is made for them with a safe play area and a kiddies menu in the restaurant
Interaction with guests
Ours is a family concern where guests are treated with warmth and great hospitality by all members of staff. Thandeka or Magda will receive you and make you welcome whilst Paul will keep you entertained with local and sport stories. And of course, I should mention the 2 Jack Russels and Max, the crossbreed, that deem themselves the welcoming committee....
Other things to note
Nabana Lodge is set on 2 hectares of land, surrounded by an electric fence. Although the facilities are open to the public, entrance to the accommodation is controlled and for the use of guests only. At night, a guard patrols the premises to ensure you a safe night's rest. Guests can park their vehicle either in the large car park in front or at their rooms
All rooms are non-smoking. Your pets are most welcome where you supply their bedding, food and bowls. Nights here are quiet and in consideration for fellow guests we ask all to keep it that way.
