Gran’s Cottage is on our working farm ‘Armidale’, a well known Merino Sheep Stud.
Catering for up to 4 guests, the cottage has been restored with care featuring luxurious linens, & antique furniture.
It is the perfect place for a private getaway, families, or a road trip destination with friends.
The Maniototo plain is famous for its stunning landscape, surrounded by mountain ranges and covered by an endless big sky.
The space
Grans cottage has been lovingly restored & holds a lot of family history for us. It has a sunny farmhouse kitchen & dining space featuring modern appliances.
The sitting room has a cosy wood fire as well as a heatpump. A selection of games & an extensive library, the perfect space to enjoy each others company.
The Master bedroom has one king size bed with quality linens.
The second bedroom has two king single beds
with quality linens.
All beds have electric blankets.
The bathroom has been lovingly restored & features Burlington facilities.
There is a laundry that can be utilised by guests- perfect for cleaning up after adventures.
There is a large lawn & verandah area to enjoy the Maniototo climate.

Quiet country roads criss cross their way past meandering creeks and through the patchwork of rich pastoral lands in Gimmerburn. Enjoy views of Rough Ridge, the Hawkduns and the Kakanui Mountains. The big blue sky during the day gives way to an incredible dark sky at night.
