We booked Mark and Lisa's apartment as we were attending a wedding at the Chateau. The apartment was perfect - bedrooms and bathrooms were superb, and being able to walk down the road to the wedding and back was even better than we could have imagined. The private terrace overlooks the valley and we saw a family of roe deer who settled on the grass below us quite happily as we sat having lunch on the terrace. There were several mod cons that you would hope for and as a short stay destination, the apartment ticked all the boxes

Great little house in a good location. And yes the chateau is 100 metres from the front door! We loved the little village, quiet but with the basics (corner shop, bakery, great butcher, bar, restaurant) and the fact that we could park right outside the front door. Mark and Lisa were great hosts, always responded quickly to any questions/requests and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. The house was lovely, all the necessities supplied, and comfortable. A bonus was the terrace (across the street from the house) overlooking the river below - great for lazy lunches. The location (at the very north of the Dordogne, bordering Limousin) was perfect - full of wonderful places to visit and gorgeous scenery but just out of reach of the crowds further south. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful little flat in a great location, right in the centre of Jumilhac. The views from the terrace are sublime and we were very touched by the bottle of champagne in the fridge when we arrived. Lots of good stuff to do in the area too. Thanks a lot to Mark and Lisa!
