Relax and unwind in this gorgeous apartment, set in pretty cottage gardens, with stunning, panoramic sea views.

The other floors of The Cottage are not in use during your stay. Wander freely in the grounds, enjoy both decks and savour this idyllic retreat.

Historic Russell/Kororareka and beautiful Long Beach are each less than 5 minutes by car; a private shingle beach is within 10 minutes' walk.

(Unsuitable for guests with limited mobility as there are steps down to the apartment.)

The space
The park-like grounds and adjacent bush are home to many bird species; a nature lover's paradise. Some guests have been lucky enough to see a kiwi.

The apartment is spacious, luxurious and comfortable.

The large living area features a huge, comfy sofa, a 65" smart TV and a baby grand piano.

The kitchenette has a fridge, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine and microwave. Teas, coffees, Nespresso pods, milk and first day continental breakfast and snacks are provided.

The bedroom enjoys wonderful views over Lily Bay, and a seating area for reading and relaxing.

The separate bathroom has both a freestanding bath and generous, powerful shower. Quality towels (including beach towels) and toiletries are supplied.

The laundry room has a Miele washing machine and Miele tumble dryer. Washing powders and conditioner are provided.

Guest access
This is a completely self-contained apartment on the lower floor of The Cottage. As there is no-one else in The Cottage during your stay you can freely access the grounds and all outside spaces.

Other things to note
As The Cottage is in a kiwi protection area, pets are not permitted.

The apartment is on the lower floor, 20 steps down from the drive. It is therefore considered unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Hello - we are Heather and Pete. We fell in love with Russell/Kororāreka in 2016 when we decided to move here permanently from the UK.
