My spacious comfortable home is a very short distance from Emerald. Enjoy the quiet, tranquil location. If you wish you can do nothing, but relax soak in the views, drink in hand. Also, quick easy access to local attractions.

The space

My home is located in Emerald within the Dandenong Ranges and is set amongst three quarters of an acre of gardens. Simply sit on the patio and just breathe in the clean mountain air and enjoy the panoramic views across the Warburton Ranges and the lovely rural views, relaxing over breakfast and soaking in that view. On a warm summer’s day you may want to sit under the canopy of the mature trees in my rear garden with a cool drink, or relax in the evening with a glass of wine on the patio. In the evening there is nothing nicer than good company, a glass of wine and just taking in the surrounds. Perhaps even some of the friendly bird life may pay a visit. .

I share my home with two cats, one being a warm and friendly Russian Blue and the other a reclusive Tonkinese boy.

Your stay will be in a delightful queen bedded room.

A continental breakfast is provided, but you are a short few minutes drive to many of our great cafes and restaurants where you may wish to enjoy the local hospitality over a coffee, lunch or dinner.

Things I love:

- The short drive to Puffing Billy Station where you can board the train. This historic and memorable journey is loved by young and old. You will be transported to another world as you take in our lush and green countryside and marvel at the tree ferns, the majestic Mountain Ash, and simply enjoying the adventure;

- I am a short drive to both local restaurants, hotels and cafes;

- the surrounding villages, the Dandenong Ranges National Parks, Rhododendron Gardens, William Rickets Sanctuary and many more wonderful attractions;

- Cardinia Dam for a picnic with the opportunity to see the kangaroos;

- Emerald Lake Park with its great picnic spots, lake, café, walking tracks and Amphitheatres;

- the treasure trove of boutique shopping;

- the Yarra Valley and its unique wineries; approximately 30 minutes drive away;

- the many wonderful walks in the hills and surrounding National Parks; and

- just relaxing in my charming home and its surrounding gardens soaking up those panoramic views of the surrounding Warburton Ranges;

I welcome you to visit me as I enjoy hosting guests in my home. I am also happy to make suggestions around what my local area and surrounds has to offer. Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Warmest regards,

Jennie was a wonderful host! She was so great with our 5 month old daughter and even sat with her while we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast. The room was very clean, with the best linen and enough room for a portacot! We enjoyed lunch outside on the deck which was so tranquil looking over to the hills. Thanks for a great stay!!

A most enjoyable time. Jennifer was super-friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed, lovely breakfast, birds were fantastic. A great atmosphere even with the mist and rain. Many thanks, Jenny.

I could only stay for one night but wish I could've stayed longer! From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed. Jennie has a warm and friendly personality. Jennie's place is charming, tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. I loved the rabbit theme. The bed is cosy warm (so cosy, I slept through my alarm!) and the room has everything you need for a relaxing stay, from herbal tea to magazine's. A beautiful outlook from the bedroom into the garden and from the balcony overlooking the mountains, stunning views. Will definitely be back again!

We had a wonderful stay at Billy Buttons. Jennie made us feel so welcome and at home from the start. The room itself was gorgeous and so cosy with beautiful views. Jennie's attention to detail didn't go a miss either. We loved the thoughtful personal touches and the breakfast too was lovely. Such a nice host and stay. Would highly recommend. Thanks Jennie! We were absolutely delighted when a late cancellation allowed us to stay longer at Jennies Bed & Breakfast. We have reviewed aspects already so please read our other review about our 1 night stay. But we would also like to add that we found the bed & breakfast very accessible in that Jennie can accommodate your car on a concrete slab close to the house, there is only one small step down to the back patio & then same up into the house. The shared bathroom has a grab rail next to the toilet & also a large rail within the shower (which only has a small lip up to negotiate). Obviously the rest of your room has good space around the bed (did I mention the amazing linen & the super comfort?) which is high so easy to get in & out of & there are 2 chairs and a small table where you can sit & have a cuppa with your provided kettle, biscuits & chocolate looking out over the panoramic wall window to your room. Doug saw an echidna nosing around and ambling past enroute to the adjoining property (it took a while :) so photo opportunity!). Speaking of which - the bird life here is fantastic. You will see sulphur crested cockatoos, red corellas, king parrots, magpies, bronze winged pigeons to name but a few... But lets not forget Sophie (the Russian Blue) & Benson (the Tonkinese) cats who are the apple of Jennies eye. If you don't like cats - well - maybe this is not your place, because you will surely experience the love from them - and the endless love Jennie has for her two four-legged fur-persons!

Hi everyone. Just a brief note on me. I have been living in the Hills in Melbourne for the last few years, just heavenly after living in the mad rush of Sydney for many years. I have a new career in the banking industry, a very steep learning curve. I am new to Air B n B, but m…
