Just what we needed! Close to the beach and secluded from it all. The place is comfortable, safe and clean. Would definitely come back!

We love Casa La Ceiba! It was our second time staying there. Simple, but everything you need for a quiet vacation. Safe and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Herley is the best!

Very quiet place at the end of a dirt road cul de sac. Great for relaxing and surfing. They only have slightly salty water running from the tap and shower, but the closeness of the beach compensates for this slight inconvenience. Lovely big and soft towels. We adored hearing the howler monkey and the ocean during the evening. Thank you!

Best Airbnb experience ever. Where to start... The room was perfect. Comfortable bed, great water pressure, clean and simple. The AC option was great as well. The kitchen has absolutely everything you need and there is a fire pit, lots of hammocks and free drinking water. There is no wifi but i promise you, you won't even notice once you walk to the 2 beautiful beaches that are literally a stones throw away. We had Playa Majagual to ourselves 2 out of the 3 days we spent lazing in the sun. It's safe and beautiful and one of the most awe inspiring sunsets i have ever seen. Absolutely breathtaking. There are howler monkeys and sloths around and lots of birds as well. As if this was not all already perfect enough, in walks Herly... The sweetest kindest man you will ever meet. He is definitely the best part of Casa La Ceiba. I spent hours talking to him (with my extremely limited Spanish), covering every topic imaginable. He even cooked Charday and I a breakfast of Gallo pinto after we spent the night 'sampling' Nicaraguas awesome rum Fleur de Cana. If you are easygoing and enjoy quiet untouched beauty with some extraordinary company, DEFINITELY make your way to Casa La Ceiba!

This place is not worth the $. It was difficult to find and very remote. I found a lamented 8.5x11 lamented page on a front porch that gave me a clue I was in the right location, but still not at the right house. Nora & Lino were not on site to answer questions. Their caretaker was always around and helpful, but I'm very glad I knew some Spanish as his English was limited. Also, the locals were burning brush. It was directly in line with the ocean wind making the entire place including my room very smokey!

Response from Nora & Lino:
Hello Liz Truly sorry your experience was unpleasant, Our house is very remote, but the idea is to get away from it all, I apologize for the locals, some things are just out of one's control. We do have a a poster size Sign that says Casa La Ceiba that is over 30 feet above ground :) Lino

A beautiful place! We stayed in a gorgeous room overlooking the sea, which is a minute walk away. Stunning beaches. A great restaurant nearby. Light, airy, very quiet. A great kitchen. Everything we needed for some peaceful days by the sea.

Herly is the absolute best. Extremely generous, helpful and fun to talk to host. He's also extremely patient if Spanish is NOT your first language and you'd like to practice. Good value and great location, with surfing beaches and quiet non-surfing beaches very close by. Great outdoor public area at the hotel too, where you can chill on one of many hammocks next to the big beautiful ceiba tree and read a book or play cards or board games. A very nice shared kitchen as well. Great spot!

Response from Nora & Lino:
Harvey is a very kind person, very generous and respectful. He spent a lot of his time at the beach, and liked playing board games with his wife.
