Perfect place to stay! Great building and great apartment. Yes the photos and what are actually there don't match... but personally it didn't bother me. The apartment has so much character on it own you don't really need much more. There's a dining table, 2 5 seater sofas, fully equipped kitchen and everything you need to just walk in and get on with life. It can get a little loud on Friday and Saturday nights due to its proximity to canal street, but it was very easy to sleep through. Andrea and Philip were great throughout. You have to sign a simple contract but once explained why it's really no big deal or an issue. It's a perfect place to stay in Manchester. Next time I'm working up there this will be the 1st place I will look.

I never met Andrea, but the communication and arrangements with him through the messaging system, phone, email and msgs was seamless. I felt like he was there. He had his assistant Philip deal with me on site, and he was very helpful and friendly the whole stay. Very accommodating and responsive. The whole experience was great. The apt is in an excellent spot and within walking distance to the entire downtown area and university. The place was safe and clean, and most of all very reasonably priced. Highly recommended for the practical and vacationer. Will definitely book again.

Just spent four months staying at this apartment. First off, communication with Andrea (and also Phil, the caretaker) has been top notch. Quick answers to questions before I arrived and also with a few queries along the way. The apartment itself was like a home from home. Great location, decent security and everything in the apartment you could need. The lounge is spacious, and the couches are super comfy. It's stylishly converted and the red brick adds real character. If is more of a shell than the pictures would suggest. It has 2 LARGE couches, a bookcase, a telly and a table and chairs, but that's it. Don't expect the beautiful art on the walls, white vinyl dogs, 60's throwback egg chair and travel books that are in the photos. All this meant to me was that I could bring a ton of my own stuff to make it like my own place, and that I did ! Everything is in generally good condition, considering the amount of people that must stay there, each with their own idiosyncrasies. The main bedroom is spacious and clean and has a very large bed and wardrobe. It's closest to the bathroom though, and, as to be expected from these places, the floorboards can be a little creaky, beautifully realised as they are. There is a selection of duvets and linen too. The bathroom has a massive bathtub, and a compact shower. Despite is size, the water pressure is great and it's once again very stylishly done. Maybe move the spare tiles out of the hot water tank cupboard though so your towels could be stored in there too ?? The kitchen has washer/drier (although I always hung my clothes on the clothes horses provided) , - fridge, an electric hob and oven (which the glass needs fixing in, but it never proved a problem) a dishwasher, a microwave and kettle. Again, the kitchen is fitted and looks great. You can thankfully see the large telly while you're cooking ! There is also an extra freezer under the stairs .. Makes no noise at all. The upper sleeping space (second bedroom) is roomier than you'd imagine. I slept there the whole time and the mattress is comfy and there are drawers and also a clothes rail (which I bought and left behind as I thought it would benefit the next tenant... Aren't I nice ??) Generally all great :-) If there is a festival or stage set up in the gardens opposite on a weekend, it can be slightly loud, but the windows are double pained and it's easy to reduce the noise but closing them. This only happened 4 times over the summer during my stay. I was also allowed to have my dog with me, which was the big pull of this place. That's it really. Great apartment, great location, great communication, and in my opinion, worth the rental fee. I will contact Andrea without hesitation if I am back in Manchester...

I can honestly say this place is great. Location is perfect. The Village is literally on your doorstep so nightlife is at your fingertips. And even though the place is in the village, it's quiet inside so you definitely get a good night's sleep. The bathroom is clean and spacious and updated. The best feature is the huge living room. It was surprisingly sunny during my stay (if you know Manchester you know why I use the word "surprisingly") and the room was flooded with sunlight which was glorious. The tv has all the channels, so when you just feel like chilling inside you can grab a soda and relax. The kitchen is compact but definitely has everything you need. Just remember that the time needs to be set so that you can use the oven! Andrea is also extremely prompt in replying and really wants you to have a pleasant worry-free stay.

Overall a nice place to stay, location is great for the centre of town, 10 minutes walk to almost anywhere you'd need to be, although there where a few little things that tarnished the stay. The pictures are a little misleading, the decor of the flat is very basic, none of the items in the pictures that have it all the character that lead me to booking are no longer there, not a huge problem, but felt a little cheated... The main problem was the 2nd bedroom, I understood it was on a mezzanine level and judging by the pictures it had some privacy. In reality the room is a mezzanine, the roof height is only around 4ft, there is no privacy from the living room, the bamboo divider that is variable in the pictures is no longer there. But to finish on a good note, the flat itself is good, the main bedroom was comfortable, the sofas are incredibly comfortable and again its location is perfect for anything based in town.
