This charming, historic bungalow is located in the up and coming neighborhood of Sylvan Hills/Capitol View, very close to Marta (Oakland City Station, 3 stops south of downtown). Driving? We are just 15 minutes north of the airport and 5 minutes south of downtown. Also super convenient to I-75/I-85 and I-20.

The space

Relax and recharge in this well appointed spa-like private room with a super comfortable queen sized bed dressed in quality cotton linens, spa robe & slippers. Guests enjoy the convenience of a having their very own vanity pedestal sink in each of the private bedrooms (while the main bathrooms are shared) and the combination of high ceilings, spacious airy rooms, original architectural details, clean modern designs mixed with antiques, hand crafted items, natural elements and hardwood floors.
Free parking, wifi, and laundry (by appointment only) available to guests.
I am easy going, really enjoy hosting and just want every guest to have the best experience possible. There are 3 large, sweet, clean and extremely cute and friendly dogs and charming young lady named Dani that help me co-host. When booking a Queen room, you may be getting one of the 4 private rooms in the house. All have the same basic amenities and decor.

Guest access

Free WIFI, backyard with horseshoes, grill, hammock, veggie and herb garden, dogs for walking and nice kitchen. Free street parking all the time.

Other things to note

Neighborhood is strictly residential, so you won't find any shops or cafes within walking distance, but hopping on Marta is very convenient. We do have a great Jamaican restaurant (JamRock) in the neighborhood that delivers (usually) and also yummy pizza from Bakari's.

My second time here and again I had a great stay. This is a wonderful unique bungalow, with fantastic hosts, adorable dogs and always interesting, loverly fellow guests. It’s roughly a 15 minute Marta ride from the airport, then a 5 minute walk to the property. From the bungalow you can catch a lyft or uber to downtown for around $10-15 dollars or again the Marta which is 10 minutes to 5 points and 15 minutes to Peachstreet. The bungalow is a great set up, I had my own room this time and the bed was very comfortable, the sink in the room is a nice touch and general showers are also very good. There’s all the facilities you need, fantastic value for money. Will for sure stay again when I come back to Atlanta!

Beautiful property and decor. Met very interesting room mates when I initially checked in over a glass of wine, but any other time you would not know any one was even there. The house and backyard is beautiful and very spacious. Also close to downtown and other must see areas. Veronica was a great host that made sure I was very comfortable.

I felt very comfortable in my room at Tracy's place. Spacious, big cozy bed and in-room sink. The house is a 5 minute walk to the train station and the train to downtown only takes 15 minutes.

Comfort and convenience are tops here. Comfortable bed, full kitchen to use, and convenient to MARTA for hassle-free transport downtown. We've stayed here at least three years while we're in town, and expect to stay again next year.

Very cute bungalow, well decorated, at a great price. Our only problem was with other guests in the house. We struggled to get much sleep at all because guests down the hall were having loud conversations past 3am. The host is great and the space is perfect, just hope that other guests are considerate if you want to catch some shut eye.

The place was perfect for a quick solo getaway in Atlanta. The house is spacious; my room came with all the amenities including a robe and slippers. I love having a sink in my own room. There's extra space for your own food if you want to cook in the kitchen. Though it's not within walking distance to many restaurants or stores, its a convenient 5 min walk to the Marta train station, which is 10-15 mins to downtown area. Tracy was a helpful and friendly host. I'd recommend her place to those looking for an affordable and quiet room in Atlanta!
