The space
Set in the courtyard of an Elizabethan Hall House, in rural Kent countryside, the Suite is a haven of peace. As well as access to the Chillspace MiniSpa with far infrared sauna, massage chair and steam shower, the Suite has a TV plus lots of magazines including Country Living and Harper’s Bazaar, loads of really interesting books and some great classic DVDs, you won't get bored!
There are several fantastic farm shops with cafes within walking distance – so you can always buy things for your breakfasts and other meals there. If you don’t feel like preparing your own meals, we can recommend some great places to eat in the area. You can also order all the food for your stay to be delivered from MyFood – it is delicious!

Covid-19 Response at Witherdens Hall:
With beautiful countryside quite literally on our doorstep and the Kent coastline no more than a short drive away, we feel this is the perfect escape from what has been a turbulent start to 2020.

Before booking your stay we'd like to draw your attention to some changes we have been forced to make since the outbreak of Covid-19:

- Please be aware that there is currently a 5 night minimum stay in The Suite.
Longer stays ultimately mean fewer guests and reduced footfall. This - coupled with our rigorous cleaning protocol - will help to minimise the Covid-19 risk to guests and staff.

- We are following government guidelines and have begun the process to re-open our pool. However, both the pool and spa facilities are currently closed whilst we endeavour to complete the necessary steps before safely reopening for our guests.

We are continually responding to the ever-changing situation. You can feel assured that we are working hard behind the scenes to ensure we continue to offer a safe environment - in line with government and public health advice - so our guests can feel more comfortable and relaxed than ever.

If you would like further details of the measures we are taking to safeguard your stay please contact us directly.

Guest access
Immediately outside the Suite there is a bench and a small table and chairs for use in good weather with delightful views of the courtyard offering a good degree of privacy.

Guests are welcome to walk around most of the grounds, except the private family area. There is plenty of space for dogs or children wishing to have some space to run around.

There is an outdoor pool that is solar heated in summer (closed in cold weather) in the private family area. This can be used for a refreshing dip by arrangement with the family, at no extra charge.

Whatever the weather, you may wish to relax in our Chillspace MiniSpa with far infrared sauna and massage chair. We also have a wonderful range of treatments available with one of our highly recommended therapists. We have a treatment room in our spa area. Treatments include a variety of massage including hot stone massage, reiki, reflexology, yoga, mindfulness and breakthrough therapy.

Other things to note
Witherdens Hall is an organic spa retreat; we use organic products where possible and offer Aromatherapy Associates toiletries in our bathrooms. We love the ethos of Aromatherapy Associates to use only ethically sourced, natural and sustainable ingredients coupled with the fact that they smell divine!

We have our own vegetable garden that we grow a number of crops in. We do not use pesticides or sprays and use our nearby farm shops for locally sourced, healthy foods which we have seen growing in the fields around us. Everything we use is organic wherever possible, from our lovely fruit to our cleaning products!

We aim to recycle 80% of our waste, re-using where we can, aiming to make the least environmental impact whilst maintaining a high quality standard throughout.
You may also see our free range chickens wandering the family garden.

Some of our electricity is produced by our solar panels, letting us put back into the National grid and keep environmentally friendly. Our next project is to find our spring and tap into its natural resource.

We have recently turned over part of our lawned area to a wildflower meadow to help provide vital feeding and nesting areas for insects, butterflies, birds and small animals. We look forward to watching nature develop this for us over the coming months and years.
