The Aloha Room can cozily sleep 2 people. There is a double futon bed, a single bed and a small couch. The bathroom, kitchen, & living room are shared with other guests.
We are an older community of 10 households. There has been very little change during the 25 years Akiko has lived here, except many of our elders "have crossed over." Guests are requested to honor this older village by being quiet, kind and respectful. Akiko's is smoke free alcohol free, and smokers are asked to walk down the street to the waterfall to smoke and alcohol consumed at either Hakalau Park or Kole Kole Beach Park down the street.
Akiko lives on the grounds. She was born and raised in Hawaii in the 40's and shares many stories of special places and events with guests. Breakfast is a wonderful time to share and learn of each others' journeys.
