Superb renovated apartment in the very popular and trendy neighborhood called De Pijp, 5-10 minutes walk to center and all tourist activities.

The apartment has an incredible Roof Terrace, to enjoy a 360 view over the Amsterdam skyline...

The space

The apartment is recently renovated and fully furnished with tasty new furniture. Entering the space you come into a small entrance tastefully decorated, then you go up to the living room with open kitchen. There you can enter the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom has a bath and a shower. Going up one more floor you arrive on the roof top, which gives you an amazing view over Amsterdam!

Other things to note

As any apartment in Amsterdam, the set of stairs can feel quite steep if you are not used to it. Our stairs are not as bad as many other buildings in the city, it's actually pretty decent for Dutch standards, but it can feel uncomfortable or exhausting when you're not used to. Consider this when making the booking, if you have any problems going up stairs.

Recently, we have experienced difficulties with previous guests who were too noisy and we received several complaints from the neighbors. As you will understand I want to avoid this to happen again in the future. That is why upon arrival, you will be asked to sign a contract containing the house rules.

Recently, we have experienced difficulties with previous guests who were too noisy and we received several complaints from the neighbors. As you will understand I want to avoid this to happen again in the future. This is why I need to make you aware of the house rules. Please read them carefully. Upon arrival, you will be asked to sign a contract containing these rules.

You represent us while you are in the house and we trust you to the best tenant you can be.

1.Make sure you lock the apartment front door and the communal door downstairs at all times. Verify behind yourself if the doors are well closed. The communal door downstairs should be well closed off when you come in and out and should never be left open.

2. Please be as quiet as possible in the communal staircase. The walls are thin and neighbors hear everything while you come up or down, so try to avoid disturbance.

3. Smoking is not allowed in the apartment (also on the terrace) and even at the windows. The terrace cannot be used for smoking and drugs (Marijuana) are strictly forbidden in the apartment and on the terrace. Neighbors can smell and unlike what most people think Dutch people hate it.

4. Parties are not allowed. No late or loud music. Please be quiet after midnight. We do not allow external people from outside the reservation to come into the house during your stay.

5. Please respect the neighbors in terms of noise. The building is not sound proof and the walls are thin so they can hear even when you speak normally. Bare that in mind in the apartment but also on the terrace during the day or at night.

6. Access to the roof terrace is prohibited after midnight. This is to avoid any disturbance for the neighbors who are sleeping and work in the morning.

7. Always close all windows and especially the door leading to the roof terrace. If you forget and it rains, you will flood the apartment and cause extreme damage which you will be liable for.

Beautiful and cosy apartment in a very good spot of the city, near of the center and the museums with easy transportation to everywhere including the centraal station. Bjorn was really nice and welcomed us with a map and tips for the city. If you have a heavy luggage and will arrive before the check in time, I would recommend you to leave the bags at the centraal station for 7€, avoiding the 50€ fee for early check in.

We had a great time at Nick & Sophie's place. The apartment was very clean and tidy and we felt very comfortable there. The location of the apartment is great, everything is close by. We would definitely visit again!

It was really nice trip and perfect apartment. Everything in Amsterdam is in 10-20 minutes walk or faster on a tram. A lot of shops and cafes in neighborhoods. To get to apparent you should be ready to climb to 5th floor but it's a good fitness. Upstairs you will find clean flat with good kitchen and living room with everything you need - salt, pepper, olive oil etc. Bedroom also good, but there are not so many place for your girlfriend dresses :) In general - strongly recommend this nice place if you are ok with 5th floor.

Response from Sarah/Michael:
Hi Valera, Very nice to host you and your family. Thank you for your review. The apartment is at the 3rd floor, not 5th. It's true the stairs are a good fitness, that's why all Dutch people are generally in shape :D. Our stairs are actually one of the most comfortable to climb in Amsterdam, not as steep as what you see in other apartments. It's definitely something to consider when renting our house or any other house in Amsterdam, buildings are old and lifts are a very very rare thing. Sorry that you thought there was not enough place for your girl's dresses, I'll add extra storage next time. Hope to host you again soon.

We had a great time at the apt, Bjorn welcomed us when we arrived and Sophie left us a nice bottle of wine in the fridge. The location is great, right next to a main street but the area is still quiet enough to rest. The apt was warm, cozy and very clean. The rooftop is a great addition in a warm winter morning with a nice view of the city. Thanks for hosting us.

The apartment was excellent, exactly as described and a great place to stay in de Pijp. It has everything you want within walking distance. Although we didn't meet the hosts, their friend Bjorn was very helpful getting us settled in. I highly recommend it as a base to explore all that Amsterdam has to offer!

We were met by Bjorn at the apartment late on Friday night as our flight was delayed- he gave us the key and showed us where everything was. The apartment seemed larger than the pictures and it was better than we'd hoped. The neighbourhood is our favourite in Amsterdam - great bars, restaurants etc within walking distance! We will definitely be back and will definitely look for this apartment again... the place was very clean and tidy plus Sophie left us a welcome bottle of wine in the fridge which was lovely! The stairs to the apartment are much less steeper than places we've stayed before - the rooftop is accessible by a sky light / flap which takes a few tries before we were comfortable doing it without all three of us helping! The rooftop is fantastic though...what a great weekend we had! THANK YOU!

My girlfriend and I have lived between London, Amsterdam and Paris for a few years now. I'm from London and she is from Paris. We both love good food, hanging out with friends and boating around the canals during the summer.
