If you want poor communication with the host who doesn't answer any of your questions, towels and linen all over the floor, and a dirty plaster on the clothes hook, book this place! Good point about this lodge is its great location.

The chalet was a perfect location for our hiking activities...we did the Alpine Crossing. However, our experience was somewhat disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no toilet paper...only a single paper towel folded over the empty dispenser. We also had trouble finding the linens we had requested (an extra per person charge). Although we finally found them, Keith did not respond to our texts asking about them. The wifi mentioned in the listing as provided was also an extra charge from a close-by lodge. We left on a day the garbage disposal station was closed, and we had no idea how to dispose of the rubbish since local businesses would not take it. No one picked up when we called for alternate instructions. We finally disposed of it in a rubbish bin that said "no household disposal", which made us feel uncomfortable as we stuffed it with 3 days of garbage. I will say, the kitchen is excellent... plenty of dishes and cooking essentials. And the washer and dryer were also welcome extras.

Great location for the tongariro crossing. Super cosy, and comfortably sleeps a group. Loved it!

Perfect for what we needed: a simple place to stay for a weekend of hiking Tongariro. There is not actually wifi here, you have to pay for it from the YHA and I don't think it actually reaches the house. Things like toilet paper and paper towels are or provided.

We had a great stay in this nice equipped chalet. All really good and perfect accommodation for the tongariro crossing. Would recommend this place. Only the internet is not provided by the airbnb and but must be paid for, if you can get reception.

Great place! Brand new well equipped kitchen (with a view of Mt Ruapehu) cool wood burner, and perfect location just around the corner from Speights. Good value as (URL HIDDEN) can sleep an army in all the beds and rooms.

Keith's place was super cozy and had an awesome mountain view from the kitchen. We loved a fire place. Kitchen was well equipped.

National Park is a neat little village in the heart of the Tongariro National Park. Ideal base for skiing Ruapehu or doing the Tongariro Track. You'll love the chalet as much as we do.
