Lindsay’s stay is the perfect example for why hosts should not accept guests without reviews. From the moment she arrived she bombarded us with complaints fabricating issues. We received many messages from her about her disappointment with the unit. Although very surprised, we responded diligently, offering our staff and services to immediately address anything she needed or wanted. She declined all offers for housekeeping, maintenance and even refused to allow us access to our own property! Lindsay said she and her family just wanted to leave with a refund. Because of the nature of her messages and highly unusual behavior, we agreed to refund her if she departed immediately. I went to the property personally and she refused to allow me access to our property again to my face as we stood outside the door. This was highly troubling to me. I wanted to demand access but to avoid any conflict I left, afraid she may create more stories or even call the police. Her behavior was just that bizarre. She and her group continued to stay at the property for another full day and night! When she finally left, she sent another lengthy unintelligible message carrying on again with her fables. Excited to confirm they’d left, we went back on site and found the property to be a mess, all linens used and scattered, bed slept in sofa slept on, wet towels on the floor, coffee maker full of coffee and turned on, blankets around the living room and NOTHING wrong with the place ! We’ve had our properties listed on Airbnb for years, hosted thousands of travelers, and have never had a worse experience ! Warning to other hosts, do not to accept this traveler !
