The accommodation is totally self contained, in such a quiet location, apart from the morning tui chorus (certainly no complaints there). It is so peaceful with heaps of room. Then of course there is Elaine bread which is a wonderful part of the substantial breakfast provided. Totally recommended for those who want to get away from the big smoke.

Thanks Barry for your kind comments - and for taking the time to make them when I know you are both so busy. All the best for Christmas and 2017

Elaine and Graham are the most lovely gracious and warm hosts. The airbnb space is cozy, warm, well appointed, with a very comfortable bed. When we arrived, everywhere you looked there were lovely treats: warm bread out of the oven with an assortment of jams and jellies, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, fresh fruit from their garden, juice, fresh eggs, fresh herbs from the garden, an assortment of cereals and jams, preserved peaches, teas and coffee, soft fluffy towels, beautiful kitchen utensils and cooking pots. You have everything you could possibly need for a short stay for the night or a stay of a few days. This airbnb is located in a lovely quiet neighborhood and you wake up to the sound of beautiful birdsong. Just down the road within very easy walking distance is a beautiful bay for water sports such as kayaking or paddle boarding. You can also take a lovely stroll along the waterfront on the flat walking track. Elaine and Graham are also very happy to help explain the wonderful scenic opportunities nearby if you wish to explore out beyond Tui on Tanners Airbnb. If you prefer to stay still and quiet, you can just sit on the bench out in Elaine and Grahams beautiful garden. We loved our stay at Tui on Tanners and we would go back to stay again in a heartbeat. You won't be sorry if you choose this lovely spot and these wonderful people, Elaine and Graham.

Graham is a retired deer farmer/painter/decorator and has a part time garden maintenance business. Elaine is a full-time agricultural journalist editing a monthly rural publication.
We are positive, hospitable, friendly people who enjoy fishing, tramping, gardening, reading, travel and meeting people. Graham has a great vegetable garden and loves making meals from what he grows. He also has a delightful sense of humour.
We thrive on interesting conversations with friends old and new-found of all ages and like relaxed travel with time to explore and discover new people and places.
We make our guests feel welcome and help them thoroughly enjoy their stay.
