This self-contained apartment is the ground floor of our family home and has separate access and so is private and yours to enjoy. We provide self-serve breakfast, including home-made bread, free range eggs, cereals, fruit and more in this one bedroom accommodation in the quiet village of Tanners Point on the shores of Tauranga Harbour, where you awake to the sound of bird calls.
This is a one-bedroom (with double bed) self-contained space with generous-sized living area which comprises lounge with TV, kitchen and dining area. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. The ranch slider from the lounge opens onto a paved area with outside seating, parking for one vehicle, glimpses of the Tauranga Harbour, and access to the terraced garden.
The kitchen has fridge, microwave, sandwich maker, toaster, electric jug, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Breakfast (cereals, milk, fresh fruit and yoghurt, homemade bread and homemade spreads, free range eggs) is provided for self-service each day. A double air bed is available for extra sleeping on request.
Linen and bedding (plus beach towels on request) is provided. A barbecue and washing machine are available on request.
Guests are welcome to enjoy our garden, have private use of the self-contained accommodation, and off-street parking.
Interaction with guests
We will be here during your stay and will respect your privacy but are more than happy to interact with you, should you wish. We have a good knowledge of the region and its attractions so can help with suggestions of what to see and do, and the best places to dine.
Smoking is not permitted in the apartment but guests are welcome to smoke outside. We do not allow pets.
Graham is a retired deer farmer/painter/decorator and has a part time garden maintenance business. Elaine is a full-time agricultural journalist editing a monthly rural publication.
We are positive, hospitable, friendly people who enjoy fishing, tramping, gardening, reading, travel and meeting people. Graham has a great vegetable garden and loves making meals from what he grows. He also has a delightful sense of humour.
We thrive on interesting conversations with friends old and new-found of all ages and like relaxed travel with time to explore and discover new people and places.
We make our guests feel welcome and help them thoroughly enjoy their stay.
