Just minutes to Hastings St/Noosaville. This architectural home is on a quiet lane-way directly opposite Weyba Creek that flows into the Noosa River. The expansive waterway in front of the house is a favourite for nature lovers & water activities.

The space

Just minutes drive to Hastings Street this idyllic house is hidden away on a quiet lane-way directly opposite the beautiful Weyba Creek that flows from Lake Weyba into the Noosa River and only 5 minutes' walk to the famous Noosa Farmers' Markets. Weyba Creek is an expansive nature habitat and an important ecosystem for marine feeding and breeding. The expansive waterway in front of the house is a favourite local spot for swimming, boating, canoeing, crabbing and fishing.

The large architecturally designed house is perfectly situated between renowned Hastings Street and Noosaville being less than a five minute drive (or bus stop around the corner) to either location and just a few minutes more to iconic Sunshine Beach. You will experience some of Australia's best restaurants, cafés and shopping. Alternatively if you would prefer it's only ten minutes in your small (tinnie) boat to either location and you can park your boat out the front on the creek. If you are feeling a bit more energetic it's about a half hour walk or 10 minute cycle, or as I sometimes do, you can Kayak! Best yet on a Sunday you can walk just five minutes over the footbridge to the famous Noosa Farmers market where you will experience the region's gourmet delights.

The home is on two levels and has three large bedrooms and is most suited to 2 couples (4 adults) and 4 children or total of 6 adults and 2 children (rather than 8 adults) as there is (2 large bedrooms with queen size beds and one bunk room with bunk bed suitable for children but not adults (due to weight restrictions on bunk bed) and extra bed plus trundle bed. There is also a very large day bed that can be used as a bed and room has sliding doors that can be shut off from the lounge room.( The downstairs master bedroom is huge with large walk-in wardrobe with large bathroom with his and hers sinks and bidet and opens to a verandah with hammock which is perfect for lying in on a lazy summer's day.

There are three toilets and two large bathrooms. In all it sleeps seven however, there is a rumpus room off the large lounge and dining area with a day bed where the sliding doors close that can be used as an additional bedroom.

The house is perfect for long lazy lunches or dinner parties (strictly no large parties or schoolies allowed) with brand new large designer kitchen with beautiful granite benches and central granite island bench with stools and sink for keeping the chef company while she/he prepares. The kitchen has all mod cons including chefs oven and an amazing walk in fridge where you won't have to tirelessly search for things. The laundry has fold out ironing board, washing machine and dryer. It also has a double automatic lock-up garage.

The house is very spacious, light and airy with large living areas both upstairs and downstairs for different dining experiences including fireplace downstairs during winter months. Downstairs is a beautiful garden room with plantation shutters where you can dine or just sit and enjoy the surrounding tropical bushland and the creek area which is full of native bird life, including black cockatoos, parrots, scrub turkeys, and large goannas. Upstairs from the kitchen you climb a staircase to newly finished extensions that includes a sunroom/dining room and deck looking amongst the trees to the river. You will feel like you are in a treehouse but with river views as well. This room is perfect for a lazy summers lunch being light and airy for outdoor dining with large full length cantilever doors which opens the whole upstairs up to nature. It has convenient granite benches, a sink and bar fridge. Best of all, koalas are regularly seen in the street which will be sure to give you a real tropical Queensland experience.

We love this quiet spot on the creek and I'm sure it will not disappoint.

Guest access

Full access to the house other than one locked storage room and one locked cupboard in the kitchen. Full free internet with smart TV, Built in ironing board, dryer, washing machine, dishwasher all available, as well as gourmet stove and a massive walk in fridge. Linen and towels supplied. Keys can be accessed through a locked outside safe where code will be provided if arriving at odd hours. Easy access : only a few minutes drive and 10 minutes by own boat or bike to either Hastings St or Noosaville and a few minutes walk to the famous Noosa Farmers Market.

Downstairs is large open plan and convenient for someone in a wheel chair (previous owner designer was eventually confined to a wheelchair) including handrails in toilet and kitchen and one bathroom sink lower than the other and large shower.

Interaction with guests

Greeting on arriving and on leaving by either myself or my wife, or our good friend Kevin. However, if you are arriving at odd times you can access the property via a locked outdoor safe.

Other things to note

Best beaches in Australia, restaurants just a few minutes drive away. The creek is a favourite for fishing, boating, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding bird watching, koala spotting, walking, cycling which are all on your doorstep out front. Happy to let guests use equipment in garage including rods, crab pots, fishing equipment, boards, Kayak etc. Just please look after what you use and set up rods if use for next guests.

This is a beautiful house to have a holiday in. The house is spacious and has all the amenities that anyone can wish for. Location is perfect !!! We used the house for a business trip for 5 people and this house is certainly big enough to still provide privacy as needed for alone time. Lots of extras that were not expected - beautiful BBQ area where we had most our dinners together!

Great family holiday stay in Noosa. Short drive to most areas & lazy drive to Sunday Noosa markets. Comfortable,thoughtfully designed & well appointed house in very quiet area. Waking to the birds & coffee overlooking the river was a great way to start a noosa day. 5 min drive to virtually anywhere in Noosa for restaurants,cinemas etc. Hastings st & little cove traffic is only sore point.

We loved our stay at Adrian's house. It was spacious and comfortable for our family of 5 (all adults). We were particularly impressed with the well equipped kitchen where we cooked most of our meals. The house is a quiet alternative to the main part of Noosa but it is necessary to have a car to drive into town and to the beach. However there is an excellent cafe, bakery and aldi supermarket a short walk away. We also took advantage of the Noosa Spa, also a short walk away. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Adrian but we're greeted by his friend Kevin who was lovely and on call if we needed anything. I would recommend Adrian's house to familys or groups of friends and would definitely stay again. Thanks Adrian!

Noosa Heads Riverside Retreat – thanks Adrian for making us feel welcome. The cold bottle of sparkling wine was very well received after our long drive. Adrian contacted me by phone, email & text in the lead-up to our 5 night October stay. He kept us up to date with renovations & improvements. His friends, Kevin & Janet were on hand to assist with anything we might need, but we wanted for nothing. I would highly recommend Adrian's place. While there were only 3 of us, the house caters well for a much larger group. The downstairs livings areas are huge with a fantasticallydesigned, well appointed kitchen (including the ‘walk-in-fridge’). The brand new upstairs sunroom / eating area / BBQ is a great addition to the house. Access to free wifi a nice bonus. The house is in a great location, alongside Weyba Creek but secluded enough to be away from the ‘hussle & bussel’ of Noosa. That said, it is close enough to everything you would want - beaches, Hastings St, shopping centres etc. I walked every morning into Noosa Junction for an early morning coffee while my holiday mates were sleeping. Each day we took a drive around the local area visiting the famous Eumundi Markets, eastern beaches, northern beaches etc. A great place to stay in a very comfortable house with hosts that care about their guests.

Adrian certainly went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We were met on arrival by his friend Kevin who ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend Adrian's place if you have a larger family group (7 in our case) or for two couples wanting to share a holiday home. The living areas are large and the kitchen is well appointed. The house is in a great location and has a wonderful feeling of being tucked away from the busy-ness of Noosa but is close enough to everything you would want (beaches, Hastings St, shopping centres etc). We had the added bonus of being able to visit the Sunday Markets which are just a short stroll from the house. We certainly enjoyed our Noosa experience at the Riverside Retreat.

Adrian's house was very charming and spacious we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. He was very flexible with our arrival and departure times and promptly responded to any queries. It's a short walk to Hastings St with some fantastic waterfront views and gourmet restaurants nearby.
