Experienced, licensed host + stylish and modern 2 level home in prime East Downtown location = best group getaway ever!
Everything in Casa Roja was purchased to provide the best comfort and chill time for you and your favorite people.
Casa Roja, the Red House, has some of the best patio and deck space I've ever seen. You can literally open an entire wall of the living room to a partially covered and totally private deck. Bluetooth your music into our speakers, open a bottle of wine and...heaven.
Casa Roja is the perfect home base for a long girls/guys weekend with several spaces designed for hanging out together along with incredibly comfortable and beautiful bedrooms when it's time to turn in. Families and company retreats love it too.
Please note this is NOT a party house. I've curated a list of local bars and restaurants to go to, all within a 5 mile radius.
All bedrooms have brand new, fabulous mattresses and foundations - same as I use in my own home - along with spectacularly soft and lovely linens.
There are 2 large bedrooms downstairs, both have new, Queen beds and 1 new Twin bed.
The huge master upstairs has a new Queen bed, it's a bit more plush and opens out to a fabulous upper deck. We've added another Twin mattress in this room as an option for folks who want their own bed.
The nook upstairs has a new Twin bed (this room is open and does not have a door to close). The nook has a library and access to private deck.
A fifth new Twin bed is set up in a similar size space though this room has a door to close. Truthfully, it's a refurbished master closet. We've removed all the built-ins and I haven't had any complaints. It's just a tad smaller than our daughter's bedroom in NYC.
Gorgeous kitchen with everything you need. Fresh ground Ruta Maya coffee and cream is in the fridge.
There are 2 huge sparkling bathrooms with extra vanities and sinks plus an extra powder room. Tons of fluffy towels and bathrobes for all.
These fantastic places are all just a few blocks away: Whislers, White Horse, Chicon, Counter Cafe, Mongers, Takoba, Nasha, Grocery/Wine/Beer, Ciscos, Salt & Time and more! Head to E 6th for the Ah Sing Den, amazing gelato at Gelateria Gemelli and divine Japanese at Fukumoto (11 blocks, 0.8 miles away). Franklin's BBQ, Blue Dahlia and Hillside Farmacy are just a 15 minute walk.
Please ask me about East Downtown. It is a changing, vibrant community, not suburbia, and there is a wide range of home values. I love this part of town and how the house is incredibly private even though it is in the middle of everything.
We have been licensed by the city of Austin since 2015. Our number is zero nine eight four seven seven.
Everything is here for you. I always leave a welcome bottle of something and whatever is in the fridge or pantry is yours.
We provide all linens, toiletries, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. Just like a 4 star hotel but way better.
Interaction with guests
I am available 24/7 and live in town. In addition, our property manager (another native) is available as well. Both our cell numbers are provided with the house manual that is available upon booking.
Other things to note
Casa Roja is a great place for groups who want to be in the middle of everything. It is a vibrant neighborhood and there is plenty of activity in the area. The downstairs patio is completely private and secluded -- just keep in mind that sound carries, you are outdoors even though it might not feel like it -- and we promise our neighbors things will be quiet after 10. Garage door should be closed by 9:30 pm.
NO SMOKING or pets. Any evidence of smoking means 100% of security deposit is kept.
Please always have the utmost respect for our neighbors.
QUIET HOURS: 10 PM - 9 AM.
Garage door should be closed after 9:30 pm.
Groups may not be outside in the front or back after 9:45 p.m.
Leave the house more or less like you found it. You'll be staying in a special place. We expect you to throw away your trash, run dishwasher, clean up your dishes if you cook. Everything else we take care of.
