Other things to note

Arm yourself with low shoes because you are walking in Perugia, and is on top of one of the many climbs that will capture the heart of the city, Piazza IV Novembre (A), where you can not stay open by admiring the famous Fontana Maggiore (B). In our top ten on what to see in Perugia, the Fountain definitely deserves the top spot. A symbol of the city was built between 1275 and 1278 by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano on a circular staircase, made up of two pink and white stone basins topped by a bronze basin from which three nymphs that support an amphorae emerge. The upper tub is resting on columns from which rise statues depicting characters related to the mythical foundation of the city; The fifty molds that decorate the lower tub depict the calendar of agricultural work, some biblical episodes, historical and mythological, the two symbols of the city (the griffin), the guelph party (the lion) and the empire (the eagle) The seven liberal arts and philosophy. Have fun in the shapes of the two scenes from Aesop's fables (crane and wolf and wolf and lamb).

Diego's house is in a very convient location! Very very close to the train station and to the mini metro. It is exactly the same as the photos looks and so you find what you saw with no surprises. We didn't have the time to meet Diego but he was very helpful to send us details and his colleague to assist us with the house.

While I didn't have the chance to actually meet Diego, he was very helpful and communicated very well during my 5 days staying in his apartment. I ended up arriving a day late due to some complications with the train, but he was very understanding and made arrangements to check in the following day when it was convenient for me. The apartment is great for one or two people, has everything you could need. While the location isn't the best for experiencing Perugia, it is extremely close to a supermarket and the mini metro, making a trip to the city center only a 10 minute metro ride away. And if you're hoping to see more of Italy, it's very convenient in its proximity to the Perugia station (less than a 5 minute walk). Definitely recommend this spot if you want to see Perugia or any other town/city that is just a quick train ride away.

I have lived in Diego's apartment for about one month. It is located directly near the train station which was a big plus for me because I was using lot's of my time to travel in umbria. The apartment is really nice and comfortable, a place where you will feel well instantly. Diego himself was a very friendly and helpful person , I did arrive very late also because there was a problem with my train. But the communication with Diego was not complicated and he responded always very fast. He was even so kind and thoughtful to put something to eat and to drink into the fridge, because I was arriving late. The apartment and also the kitchen had all the tools I needed. Everything I needed was close by and only few minutes away from the apartment (supermarket, bank, cafes, wash-saloon etc.) Overall I was very happy that I could live in Diego's apartment and I would definitely recommend it.
