This two bedroom, two bathroom house is situated in Boquete Canyon Village gated community between Boquete and Caldera. It has an open kitchen-livingroom concept, an open office area, and a carport.
Shown in the pictures is the amazing pergola built by two artist-builders, which covers the back terrace, so that you have filtered light and shade all day.
The climate where the house is situated is very pleasant. Boquete can be too cool, and more to the south the climate is too hot, but this house is situated on the Caldera plains, where you can enjoy very pleasant temperatures year round. From the large garden the mountains can be seen.
The house is equipped with a new 2000 liter reserve water tank, UV filtering system, new Inverter air conditioners, double door fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric stove, new microwave/hood, washer and dryer. The house is not connected to wifi, but you can use the wifi at the clubouse during daytime for free.
On the premises of the Boquete Canyon Village community, there is a security guard at the gate, and the manager of the compound, who lives a few houses further up, and who is readily available in case you need him. Boquete Canyon Village has a swimming pool, and a clubhouse which you are welcome to use, but the premises need to be kept clean and quiet at all time. No partying there! And please do not invite friends from outside the community to the pool and clubhouse. Also, please note: the gym is for the exclusive use of the home owners, not for tenants!
The gated resort community of Boquete Canyon Village is situated just minutes from the main David-Boquete highway down the paved Caldera road, just 25 km north of David and 12 km south of Boquete. This area in the highlands of Boquete offers a natural environment of extraordinary beauty. The climate is very pleasant, never too hot, like on the coast, never too cool, like it often is in Boquete. The average temperatures run between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius. From Boquete Canyon Village you can make beautiful hikes, and in the area are several possibilities for swimming in pools and in nature at about 15 minutes driving. The Boquete area offers various outings to orchid gardens, coffee farms, hikes in the natural parks, fine dining, as well as a renowned language school for learning Spanish (Habla Ya), and lots of pubs, restaurants, shops and so on.
The house has two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed, and one with a double bed.
Other things to note
During your stay the house is all yours. You don't share it with others.
Please treat the house like your own. Things break, that's life. Just please replace what you break or lose with a similar item, or leave a fair payment before you leave. I love animals, but as a lot of people have allergies, I cannot allow any pets in the house. The house is non smoking area. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside, in such a manner that the smoke cannot travel in. Do not leave any cigaret buds in the garden, and be careful in the dry season not to start a bush fire!
Like other Latin American countries, Panama struggles with water and electricity outages from time to time. We have done everything in our power to prevent little disasters to happen. But please keep in mind that Panama is Panama and things don't always go or work the way we're used to. Appliances are of less quality (even if they have well known brand names), things stop functioning or break down just like that.
If that happens we will send for a technician immediately, but may not be able to fix the problem during your stay. Even if other landlords may not warn you about these possible setbacks, be aware that every home owner in Panama has to deal with these issues! To avoid any water problems I recently had a new 2000 liter water tank installed, so you will still be able to shower and use the bathrooms, up to 7 days. The water is potable thanks to the UV filtering system. If you wish to compare with other holiday homes in Panama, check if they provide back-up water supply!
The filling of the gastank for the barbecue is for the tenants' expense. The caretaker will tell you where to get a new bottle when yours is empty. The cost for a new bottle is low, about $6.
