The space
Located at the gateway to New Zealand’s famous Bay of Islands. Tapeka del Mar has stunning beach and sea views with an endless procession of passing boats and romantic sunsets. Guests enjoy exclusive use of the beach house, extensive grounds and all facilities. Perfect for the extended family or share with friends.

LOCATION - Tapeka Point beach - just two minutes from historic Russell village with restaurants, vineyards, shops, island boat trips, ferries, fishing charters, tall ship sailing, attractions and nearby world class golf. Quiet with no through road. Great bush walks through Kiwi habitat. Only 3.5 hours north of Auckland.

BEACH - Private beach access with no road or dunes to cross. Swim any time of the tide as it does not go out far and gets deep quickly. 5 kayaks and dinghy or swim to the diving pontoon moored in front. Rinse off under a hot outdoor shower.

OUTDOOR LIVING - relax, dine and entertain with a huge furnished deck, BBQ grill, loungers, bean bags and privacy screen. A covered verandah surrounds the beach house with access from bedrooms and living area. Off street parking with room for boat trailers and ball games. All tide boat ramp and deep water guest mooring in front. Filleting station for the day’s catch and bait freezer. Tapeka is the closest launching point to the Islands and renowned fishing grounds.

INSIDE LIVING - high ceilings, comfy sofas and a nautical theme with a Cape Cod feel. Views extend through floor level glass sliding doors that open the room onto the deck. A fully equipped granite kitchen includes ice maker, dish drawer dishwashers, Nespresso machine, blender etc. Better still enjoy numerous dining options in Russell or bring back a take out. Double glazed, ceiling fans and air conditioned for year round comfort. Entertainment includes an Onkyo-Bose home theatre system, SkyTV, Netflix, AppleTV and BT streaming with outdoor deck speakers. Free high speed fibre WiFi covers the property. Lots of books, magazines and board games. Laundry with washer and dryer.

BEDROOMS - The Master bedroom is on a secluded wing with a comfy king bed, heated ensuite bathroom, TV and sea views. Bedroom 2 - queen and single with sea views. Bedroom 3 - queen and king single. Bedroom 4 - massive rear bedroom sleeps 5 in King Single beds, 2 of which can be joined to make another King. This large air conditioned room is a popular young ones escape and provides a second living area affording peace for the adults. TV, DVD, refrigerator, tea making and sofas. Two portable cots, high chair, bath and swing available for infants.

Tapeka is a safe, quiet community consisting mainly of holiday homes and retirees situated on a narrow peninsular between two beaches. No through road, traffic noise or crowds - yet very close to historic Russell village, shops, boat trips, restaurants and attractions. Tapeka is a well kept secret. Visitors to Russell seldom venture over staying in town or swimming at Long Beach. This means Tapeka is relatively quiet with few people and cars yet has one of the best swimming beaches in the Bay. The beach and local area is very safe for children with numerous walking tracks into Russell through Kiwi habitat. Tapeka Point has superb views via an easy 15 min walking track and secluded bays to explore from the beach. A landmark is the huge Norfolk pine trees planted in the 1830's by the first residents. This is the gateway to the must see Bay of Islands and an ideal base to explore Northland's many attractions
