Holmes is a 1963 Streamline (Airstream-like) that has been given new life and awaits your stay! Freshly designed while preserving the original integrity that could be saved, this aluminum hunk of love has received a lot of care and attention! The eclectic design and colorful palette display a personal touch, while a comfy bed, full kitchen, and dedicated work/reading nook make Holmes a very functional camper!
Just a ~3-minute stroll to swimming and relaxation at our Flathead Lake beach.

With around 200 sq feet, Holmes sports modern luxuries you might want and expect in a stay while giving you a glimpse of what travel may have been like 60+ years ago. Modeled after the vintage-eclectic hostel we owned in Kansas City, this camper brings a funky vibe with bright colors, quirky collectibles, and a touch of global culture.
Picnic tables, benches, and a propane grill are located outside.
💻 📚 Speedy Wi-Fi is at the ready with a table station that makes for a functional and cozy workspace. The daybed doubles as a nice nook to lean back with a good book or magazine.
❄️ 📺 A new A/C was Installed in 2023. But, just a heads-up: Lucy does not have a TV — instead, we invite you to unplug and enjoy the great outdoors or rent a water sport!

Holmes' bed sits uniquely at the front of the camper - a setup we find quite comfortable. This design allows a workspace and daybed/reading nook to be quietly situated in the camper's center. The mattress is a cushy, queen-size Zinus with space underneath for storing large bags and plenty of surrounding cabinets for all your clothing needs.
───────── THE KITCHEN 🌽 🍉 🥦
Holmes is equipped with a 2-burner portable electric range (the stove and oven are for decoration), a mini fridge, and a double sink. You won't want for food while staying here. Pots, pans, and basic utensils are provided. While plenty of eateries are around, a home-cooked Streamline meal is sometimes the best way to experience true tiny living.

Truth be told, Holmes boasts the best shower on site! An original, soft pink enamel tub straight out of the 1960s makes showering in this beauty a time-traveling experience! And, with a tankless water heater, you'll never run out of hot water! The standup shower works well for anyone under 6'1". The toilet is a standard household style.

While you may notice some road noise during the day, that’s the perfect time to be out exploring, hiking, or enjoying the lake! From Kansas City to Bigfork, travel has shaped who I am. In 2013, my around-the-world tour was featured on the Dave Ramsey Show ('Brittain's World' on YouTube:). In 2014, Hostel KC was born. Its mission was to give back to the people of Jamaica. In 2016, I hit the road full-time with my husband and in 2020, we landed in Bigfork to manage, and eventually own Flathead Lake Resort - a small, family-owned, home-style experience. Welcome home!
