I usually don't leave any bad comments, but this time, especially because this apartment was advertised as being really nice and beautiful, I have to correct some things here: - actually, this is not a private flat, it's a hotel - it is very dark, dirty and full of dust - the shower was in a really bad condition since 1970 - don't put something into the fridge, it'll transform it into ice blocks - the room smelled bad, and even installed aroma sticks didn't cure that... - the advertisement, especially the pictures don't match reality.. It's not worth it's price at all! As a conclusion: I wouldn't recommend this place at all, unless above listed issues have been solved! But yes... Of course there are some positive things to say also: - the location is good - it has unlimited WiFi

I enjoyed my stay in Dusseldorf but there were a few frustrations with the Airbnb accomodation that were the result of communication failures with the owner. I never spoke with or met the owner (Jadranka) in person but was informed of the apartment entry pass code through a text message. This was unfortunate because there was information the owner could have given me at the outset that would have avoided inconveniences I experienced throughout my stay. First, the communal laundry room is in the basement and requires that the user buy tokens from the the building management to operate the machines. On Christmas day I had to summon the resident manager who lived 20 minutes away to come in to sell me tokens to do laundry. If I had been properly welcomed in person airbnb style and learned how the system works I could have loaded up on tokens at the start and avoided disturbing the building manager on Christmas. The same with coffee. The apartment has a coffee machine but the coffee packets must be purchased from the management office. This became a critical issue during the German holidays when everything is closed and I couldn't buy coffee from a street cafe. It was either rouse the manager from her home on Christmas to sell me a coffee packet or go without morning coffee. Finally, the unit pictured was not the unit I occupied. The floor plans are different and it is much darker. The owners clearly used a picture of a bright street facing unit to sell the dark courtyard facing unit that I ended up in. So I believe what we have here is a multi-unit apartment building with a single owner who is trying to simulate the airbnb experience by having their resident management staff pose as "owners". If this is done properly where the customer is given no opportunity to be displeased it will work. If done improperly as in this case it borders on fraud. On the positive side the Carlstadt location of the unit is perfect and if the owners can ever get their act together I will gladly stay there again.

A very nice studio in what had the feel of a four star hotel. All very clean and tastefully decorated. It's perfectly located if you want to access the Altstadt, the Konigsallee or the riverbanks. It was a relaxing stay and I felt safe there. Jadranka made it very simple to access the studio and was available at all times to respond to my queries. I felt it was very competitively priced for a studio of this standing in such a central location - you could easily pay double at a hotel of the same standards.

Jadranka's apartment was absolutely wonderful. The space was clean, neat, and plenty large enough for the few days I was in Düsseldorf. The location is also perfect for anyone that is in town for sightseeing, work, or anything else - just a short few minutes to Königsallee, but all of the shopping and restaurants that Düsseldorf has to offer...including the Altstadt and pubs along the Rhein. She was also there when I arrived and very helpful, available, and accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in town!

Jadranka greeted me in the office after my arrival and made sure all was ok. Entry into the main building is with a code, and yet another code into your apartment. It's spacious and tailored for someone staying one night or for an extended period of time. Downstairs is a washer/dryer setup. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, fridge, and microwave. The location is central, just a few blocks from the Carlstadt and Alstadt. This is a good value.
