The location is pretty decent but beware it feels a little sketchy on where the front door located. I came with a group of girls and felt safe when in groups. The space worked well our group. The apartment appears dirty as the space could use some fresh paint and cleaning up the cracks. The beds were pretty comfortable, the pillows could have provided a little more support. The towels were pretty weak (no face or hand towels provided) and when the host tells you she "tried to clean as much as she could" was a little disconcerting considering there's a cleaning fee. The apartment also self cleaning meaning you are expected to wash all the dishes and take out your trash. The apartment seemed clean except for the appearance and some hairs in the sheets on a couple of beds. If you don't realize this from the pictures, please note 3 of the 5 rooms are loft type rooms so that means you will hear everything in the apartment and outside. There is 1 room downstairs, 4 upstairs (3 loft rooms) and a bathroom on each floor. If you are over 5"11 you will not be able to stand tall in the rooms upstairs as the ceiling is maybe 6 ft? It's NYC so download the white house app or bring ear plugs as you will hear lots of sirens, honking and trucks. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner and body soap. There is a big Dove bottle and mini soap bars if it is not a big deal to you. The window ACs was pretty good as it kept the place pretty cool in early July. It might stay here again if there are updates made as these are all cosmetic or easy to fix. The doorman is really a security guard sitting at a podium near the entrance. The hallway smells pretty bad. It's like the building needs to update their carpet.
