A perfect getaway holiday home, impeccably stylish, rustic luxury. A bath in the vaulted oak beamed bedroom, woodburner in the spacious sitting room and free-range chickens in the garden. Original revealed beams and stone walls add to it's charm.
Set in the glorious Dorset countryside, 20 minutes from the jurassic coast and within walking distance of the beautiful village of Beaminster. You can walk straight from the door across the hills on a vast selection of walks. The cottage is in the grounds of Wantsley Farm, a lovely family farmhouse which has 17 acres of rolling hills and woodland. It has its own patio area, and parking space for 2 cars, which can be a sun trap in good weather, and a garden area shielded from the house. The house has a Kingsize bed in the master bedroom and 2 single beds in the other, with a pull out bed for a 5th person. There is a shower room with loo and a separate downstairs loo, a roll top bath in the bedroom. Oak floors throughout, exposed beams, a woodburner stove and french windows make the cottage light and airy in the summer months and delightfully cosy in the winter. Home baked fresh bread ?eggs and jam available from the Farmhouse on request.
Guests have access to the farms fields, the zip wire and streams, the woodland and can walk through the grounds to the local pub in nearby Stoke Abbott. Spare linen will be in the cottage, maid service will be weekly.
Interaction with guests
Guests can feel welcome to drop in with requests or for local advice, but their privacy respected in every way.
We would appreciate guests respecting our privacy and we theirs, we do have 2 young boys who we will always try to keep under control, but we cannot guarantee it! Sadly due to the proximity of a thatched roof we cannot allow BBQ's.

I'm a jazz/cabaret singer, ex-actress and Aerialist instructor, and something of a coffee nut, so there is always very good coffee to be had here! I am married to a photographer and have two small slightly noisy, but adorable boys. We love to travel with packs on our backs to distant lands with adventure in mind, but love nothing more than walking through the beautiful Dorset countryside we're so lucky to live in. Theatre, books and swimming are what make me tick, when time from running a busy family allows that is. We have a pretty relaxed and laissez faire attitude as befits life in the countryside.
