This house worked great for our big family gathering. The house lacked for nothing. Kitchen was well stocked with all sorts of tools, appliances, and cookware. We loved the big table and living room for evening gathering, and the deck was awesome. We enjoyed the big yard for soccer games and liked walking the trails through the woods. The shower upstairs was great, and the massage chair was in high demand. The sofa beds in the loft, not so much and are best reserved for kids. It is out in the sticks, which made it very quiet at night, but a short drive into TC and an easy drive to sleeping bear. Great fishing in the Boardman River only a short drive away. We loved out stay and would return again when we need to house the whole clan.

This place was AMAZING! What a beautiful winter retreat for us. The pond was so much fun for the kids to ice skate and play hockey. Close to Traverse City and ice fishing lakes. Deb was always available to help and answer questions. Top notch...we hope to come back next year!

My weekend at the Forest Lodge was awesome. We had 10 guys for a long weekend. Everyone fit comfortably. The space is amazing. The outdoor patio and lawn allowed is to be outside all weekend. Would highly recommend this house for anything who is looking to get away and be one with nature. It was so quiet and peaceful. It was also so easy to get to Traverse City as well which was really nice. Deb is a great host as well. Communication with me was easy. If I ever find myself back in the area, I would definitely call Deb again.

We had the most wonderful time at Forest Lodge! With such a large group (16 people total) in one place, we weren't sure how it would all work out, but we were all very comfortable! And the kids had epic games of hide and seek in the house, and capture the flag on the beautiful grounds. The grown ups very much enjoyed grilling on the deck, the hot tub and lots of lounging around. And the proximity to Traverse City was perfect for our day out exploring. Deb was an exceptional host - she went way out of her way to make us happy and comfortable. We loved it!
