Lovingly renovated Victorian house located opposite the city walls with a great view of Canterbury Cathedral. Inviting and luxurious beds, robes/slippers, Korres bathroom products, Nespresso machine, wood burner and the city right on the doorstep.

The space

The house has a lovely view of Canterbury Cathedral and is located on Broad Street - a two minute walk in to centre of town.

It has two bedrooms upstairs with welcoming comfy beds, luxurious mattress toppers and plush Egyptian cotton sheets. One is a Kingsize and the others are twins but they can be made into a Super Kingsize on request. An additional fold up bed is available for families, this can be used in the twin room.

Guests also get use of bath robes and slippers during their stay.

The kitchen has everything you will need, including Dualit appliances, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer box, dishwasher and a Nespresso machine. We provide you with the basics to get you started: tea, coffee, butter, sugar, milk, olive oil, fruit and bread.

There is a utility cupboard with washing machine and tumble dryer. We provide you with washing detergent and conditioner. The iron and ironing board is also in here.

The modern bathroom on the ground floor has a big double headed shower over the bath and is well stocked with luxurious Korres bathroom products.

The dining room has a large table and leads off of the kitchen for ease when cooking.

The snug living room has a sofa and armchair and is the perfect place to relax in the evening watching Netflix on the Smart TV. There is a real wood burning stove for cosy winter evenings (logs availble for a small fee). We also provide games and books.

The house also benefits from a lovely outdoor courtyard with table, chairs and a bench. This leads to a 30 ft walled garden with a lawn for use in the warmer months.

This little apartment was in a great location opposite the town wall and 5 minutes walk to the city centre, with everything you could possibly need. We were attending a wedding in Canterbury and stayed here for 6 nights. Communication with Rebecca was very easy. She organised parking permits for us at short notice which were on the table when we arrived. Thanks for everything Rebecca.

Nice little flat in the heart of Canterbury across from the city walls leading up to the Burgate. You can almost literally fall out the door and be at the cathedral. As you enter the front door there is a sitting room just to your left, then a short hall opening into a dining area, kitchen, and bathroom arranged shotgun style. The two bedrooms are upstairs. For families with children or elderly patrons you should be advised that these bedrooms are accessed by a steep, narrow, castle turret style staircase. There is no onsite parking and finding a space in busy Canterbury can be a challenge. Even so this flat has so much going for it by virtue of its location I unhesitatingly recommend it for those wanting ready access to Canterbury centre.

Rebecca's home in Canterbury was lovely. Everything one needs was provided, with a notebook explaining appliances etc and how to get to nearby grocers and restaurants. She even provided parking passes. The road that the house is on is busy but you don't hear the noise, and it's extremely well located. Highly recommmended!

The house is very convenient for the city. What the listing didn't however tell us was that it's feet away from the main ring road and as the weather was so hot sleeping was an issue as it wasn't possible to have the windows open due to the traffic all day and night. The hosts were very good and did bring round some welcome fans however we left a day early as a result. Having paid over £500 for four days it was disappointing to have to cut short our stay. The hosts are excellent and very responsive and did what they could to alleviate the issue but cannot alter the position of the house obviously!

Response from Rebecca:
Hi Claire, being so close to all the action of the city there is inevitably some noise to be expected, any other place so close to the centre would have the same considerations. It was unusually hot during your stay and we did try to help by purchasing two new fans for you. Best wishes, Rebecca
