Amazing first time at an Airbnb listing. Cristina made sure everything we needed was provided. She's very accommodating. She can be contacted easily; communication was never a problem. The house is clean, spacious and very cozy, perfect place to rest after a long day of activities at Puerto Princesa. There are plenty of electrical sockets, which are important for charging devices. :) The neighborhood has a friendly feel to it. The staff are kind and courteous. The common area where hammocks are located is a good place for strangers to meet and mingle. Will definitely recommend this place to people who plan to visit Puerto Princesa. Cristina can also arrange tour packages for you. :)

Cristina is a gracious host. The Bamboo Backpackers Lounge was one of our favorite places we stayed on Palawan and the Philippines. The space was plenty big for our family of 5. The reception desk is helpful, the bamboo hut is comfortable, it is easy to catch a trike on the road. If you need your place cleaned that is available too as part of your stay. The staff is helpful, friendly, and very responsive to any inquiries. The listing is as described and even exceeded our expectations. It seemed that they were working on improving the facilities as well. The grounds are kept clean as well. I recommend this place for families and backpackers passing through who just want a bed. We loved our 5 night stay here.

HOST: Our family owns and runs Augusta Lofts Palawan, we offer accommodations for different kinds of travelers-solo, family, backpacker, long-term. Our property is located in a quiet residential area with a lovely garden. We would like to create a quiet space with a laid-back vibe where people can feel at home and relax.

Edit/Jan 2016: The family now has a baby! Be ready to say hi to our little one when you stay with us or if we stay with you.

GUEST: We are budget travelers but splurge on a nice hotel room every so often or when a very good deal comes up. But even with a small budget for accommodation, I really make an effort to find places that, although spartan, are very clean. When we arrive in a city for the first time, the first thing we do is find the biggest bookstore and the cutest pastry shop then we take in a little culture. We're a bunch of slow pokes when exploring a city, we don't rush and try to see everything on the menu, instead we leisurely go around at our own pace and see what we can manage to see and don't feel too bad when we miss a temple or two. Food is very important for us though, we go where the local food is best served or look up good restaurants that can't be found anywhere else.
