Welcome to this clean and warm cozy room in a shared house close to the famous Père-Lachaise and the center of Paris (15 minutes). Well furnished room will surprise you with its comfort (real bed, wifi, fully equiped kitchen) and its very low price.

The space

This cosy private double bedroom is in a house located in a very unique area of Paris. You can see the other rooms in my listing if this one is not vacant. Each room has its own key, and are looking out either onto the street or onto the garden.

Enjoy this little green area, one of the last place in Paris were you can still find houses. This comfortable house is two blocks away from the Metro (3 minutes’ walk), and from there about 15 minutes to everything you want to see in the city (Louvre, Bastille, Champs Elysées, Montmartre, Eiffel Tower...)

There is a very large and fully equipped kitchen (3 stoves, 3 fridges, 2 ovens, dining table, French coffeemakers...) located in the basement just like in London and brand new. There are also a laundry with washer and dryer and a small backyard.

The house is closed to Pere Lachaise and Gambetta well known for its vibrant nightlife. Next to the house you'll find supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacy, butcher, restaurant, auto lib station, café...
Down the street there is a fantastic Saturday market plenty of cheese, groceries....located on the Edith Piaf square. Chocolate croissant from the corner bakery is to die for (award winning!)

This is a no smoking place, but you can smoke in the backyard.
Free Wifi available in the house :)

Accurate public transportation description although the M3 line was down. Be ready to walk uphill wth your luggage if you take the train. Showers were clean but have your own hand soap as they were out. Very cold at night so prepare to bundle up. Convenient check-in/out process.

A very nice place to stay, just expect a more hostel-style environment, especially the bathrooms. That said, the rooms are all private and very clean, with access to a common area/kitchen. Probably due to the private rooms or my short stay, however, it was not social like a hostel. The only person I ever talked to was Fred who checked me in.

it is a great spot, very well kept, the stairs are rickety & a little noisy but that comes with an old house. Location is cool but be prepared to ride the train longer than 15 minutes to places you want to go. Check in was very easy. depending how long you'll stay this will be perfect for u.

Don't do the same mistake I did while searching for the accommodation's location on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps! Write the complete address of the accommodation on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps. Otherwise you could find yourself in a completely different location!

Response from Sophie Et Fred:
Hello Ibrahim, The complete address is well written and clearly, as I told you, the other guests never had problem. So, the problem is not here. But when you use your GPS on your smartphone, please select the right street with the right CITY, here it is PARIS. If you select the right street but the wrong city like VIRY CHATILLON... Your GPS will lead you to the wrong location, cause of the wrong city...

DONT RESERVE HERE! Please Ag! How to start to describe this experience. They gived us directions to come from the bus station, but one line of metro were not working so we took a long time to get there, when we got there , there was not Sophie or Fred, we waited for half an hour outside, and then someone who seemed to live there open the door and we got in, we contact Fred and he told us to take the key from the cupboard (we had the 12 room in the laaast flor, carrying a lot of baggage) the room was as is described, you have no bathroom, is like shower in one side of the floor and toilette in the other one, which is uncomfortable, besides the shower was always dirty and the towels that were provided too small. We needed to spend another more night, so i asked sophie for the same room (so we didn't need to move or baggage from the 4 floor), she made me book another room and when i booked she told me that room 12 was not available , so we had to move, the second night the building had a fail or something and didnt have light, for an hour or so, other guest we met tried to contact Sophie or Fred but they never answered . The same night, people who seemed to live there had a party in the back yard (our new 4 room was just beside ) and couldn't sleep well, the toilette in the fist floor didn't has paper , and the kitchen was always dirty (Although we paid cleaning fed!!! ) But wait that was not the worst part! When we left room 12 we leave everything the way it was, the same with room 4, including keys , so the day we left i got a message asking for 300 euros because they didnt find the keys... (Which we left in the place they were) So besides the awful experience the y asked us to pay! I dont recommend this to anybody, not control over check in /out and you may not have someone to welcome you. This seems more like a business than a host !

Dorm-like experience with 13 rooms, owners do not live there, a friend of theirs let me in, but she knew nothing about the house or neighborhood. I stayed 4 nights, the room itself was nice and clean, the shower was not cleaned during my stay and wished it had been since sharing with others. Some other occupants regularly left food, crumbs, trash on table in kitchen. I would not recommend my room, #4, because the ground level window opens up to the little patio in the back where people would gather to drink, smoke, and talk. There's no AC so being there in July I needed to open the window so I I had noise and smoke coming into my room. I requested a move, but was told there are no other options. If you like to smoke, drink and visit then this would be the room for you because you'd have a window/door connected to the patio and your ledge is a seat. I found the neighborhood to be very 'diverse,' if I were a single woman I wouldn't have felt comfortable there unless a well-seasoned traveler. A few markets around the corner, ATM up the street, a few restaurants nearby. The subway was 5-10 minute walk.
