Our stay at Whispering Pines was wondrous. The tent is the perfect accommodation for a fall evening. The property is absolutely gorgeous. To top it off, Kerry and Don could not be more generous. Not only do they provide a fantastic camp site and ensure that you are taken care of, but they share their home with open arms. Kerry provided us with a tour of the farm, introduced us to her beautiful animals, and taught us the keys to horse training. We are so grateful to have met them and had the opportunity to find refuge at their farm.

What a great weekend! Whispering Pines is a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle. We brought our 2 and 4 year old daughters with us for their first camping experience. Kerry went out of her way to make sure they enjoyed the farm, even introducing them to all the animals, letting them pet chickens, bunnies, cats, and horses, and letting them feed the chickens and bunnies treats! The girls are still talking about what a great time they had. As adults, we enjoyed being able to camp in a beautiful setting without having to worry about pitching a tent. And also- Kerry cooked us a delicious country breakfast in the morning and even sent us home with eggs fresh out of the chicken coop! What a treat!

Whispering Pines Farm is an absolutely wonderful place to spend a weekend. Kerry and Don are fantastic hosts, from cooking us breakfast both mornings and giving us a full tour of their beautiful property, to just hanging out and talking to us. There were many highlights of our stay, but spending time with their collection of animals was definitely a major one. We found all of their animals especially friendly, especially Jessie the barn cat, who is the most affectionate cat we've ever met and who became our best friend immediately, spending a large portion of her time with us when we were in our campsite. The property itself is beautiful, and affords the perfect balance of privacy and closeness in case guests need anything from Kerry and Don. The multiple ponds and forested surroundings were a perfect place to sit back and relax. We're already planning to go back, and hopefully visiting the farm will become a tradition for us!

My husband and I stayed one night to celebrate our 9th anniversary. It was exactly what we needed! The tent was so clean and the bed was really comfortable! We took a nap as soon as we got there! When we woke up we took a walk around the property checking out all the chickens, ducks and horses. We ran into Don who we ended up chatting with while we played with their dogs! We stuck pretty close to the tent the rest of the evening, playing games and enjoying our alone time. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast and ended up spending a few hours with Kerry talking about the property. Kerry and Don are phenomenal hosts and we can't wait to go back!!

Wow! What a wonderful adventure! Not only was Kerry and Don’s farm incredibly beautiful, but they are such hospitable, friendly and personable folks. We very much enjoyed meeting them and their furry and feathered family members. The farm is well-maintained with lovely gardens throughout. It'd be hard not to enjoy the serenity and beauty as one looks around taking it all in. Kerry and Don are a very hard-working couple who obviously take pride in their farm and enjoy sharing their little slice of heaven with anyone needing some down time from their busy lives. But they’re never too busy to accommodate a guest’s request, whether it be for a late-night campfire, suggestions for local points of interest or for even just for some extra towels. The tent itself is large, clean and private with a very comfortable queen-sized bed. Its front “porch” area includes a small table and chairs that provides a nice area for us ladies to freshen up and keep the "glam" in glamping. At the tent area is a firepit along with two comfortable chairs for catching up after your day and just relaxing. Taking a walk not far from the tent you’ll find restroom facilities along with a large stainless steel sink. Towels, Qtips, cotton balls, a mirror, lotion and handsoap are all provided at the sink. Kerry and Don are more than willing to share their knowledge of the history of their home and never hesitated to answer questions about their animals and talk about life on their farm. We look forward to a visit back to their farm in September for their festival to share in some shopping, good eats, live music, and to say hi. It’s always a blessing when we have the opportunity to meet new people and try new things. Our stay at Whispering Pines allowed us to do both. Thank you to Kerry and Don for giving us the opportunity to make wonderful memories. Dee and John

I had heard about glamping and decided to arrange a glamping weekend for our 10th anniversary. After doing some research, I decided to book the weekend at Whispering Pines farm. We're glad I did! Kerri and Don were wonderful hosts, and their farm is delightful. While some 'glampers' might prefer the available solitude under blue and starry skies, our inclination was to interact with our farmer hosts and their 'family'. They have three 'puppies', four horses, three ducks, and an innumerable number of chickens and roosters. While the horses are not for riding, we did make fast friends with a bag full of carrots! The farm has 2 good-sized stream-fed ponds which we shared, in a rowboat, with the ducks. We had been getting on so well that we decided to accept their dinner offer (on our anniversary night) and cancel our Saxonburg hotel dinner reservation. We hung out under the stars around a perfect fire, talking and listening to 'the bridge'. We saw, firsthand, that running a farm is a dawn to dusk endeavor. To that end, Kerri and Don are a perfect pair, working together to 'get 'er done'. I could go on, but I'll leave some space for self-discovery. We had an unexpectedly, jaw-droppingly wonderful time, and are looking forward to our next glamping weekend with our new friends.

Perfect place to get away that's not too far from the city! We fished the pond all day and then sat by a fire and made s'mores at night. The bed in the tent was comfy, plenty of blankets to keep warm. Kerry and Don were so welcoming. It's a lovely place to stay!
