Susan and her husband Barry were extremely accommodating and made us feel at home. We were welcomed with a glass of wine, cheese and crackers, and ended our trip with a lovely breakfast prepared by Barry - very unexpected, thoughtful touch! Their place is located 2 mins from the Barnes, 10 mins from the Philadelphia Museum - very central and easy to get around. We recommend and look forward to staying at the place again when we're back in town

My son and I stayed in Susan’s home during the NFL Draft and couldn’t have found a better location and host. The home is charming, unique, and very clean. The location is within close walking distance to everything on the Ben Franklin Parkway, including museums, shops, and various types of eating establishments. Susan and Barry were very welcoming and hospitable. The trip was to celebrate my son’s 10th birthday and they both made the occasion very special for him. They became such an important part of our trip that we kept them updated via text with all of our progress in trying to attain draft tickets. They, in turn, texted us with things they were hearing about on the news regarding the event and places we should visit while we were out and about. We feel like we now have extended family in Philadelphia! I would highly recommend their home for any of your future trips to the “City of Brotherly Love.” Residents like Susan and Barry are what help the city live up to that nickname.

Barry and I are very happy that things worked out so well for you. It was a great weekend! Your being here made the NFL Draft Experience very different from what it would have been without you. Thank you for coming to our house. Go Red Skins! (Go Eagles).

My son and I had a terrific time staying at Susan's while he ran the Philadelphia Marathon. The place is charming, Susan is a wonderful host, and the location couldn't be more convenient for visiting Philadelphia whether or not you are doing the marathon. I would plan a trip to Philly just to have the opportunity to stay here again.

We've been at Susan'a place for the half marathon, the house is perfectly located one block from the start line. Susan has been an amazing host, providing us with everything needed both for our stay and for the race (including a personally tailored breakfast!). The room was clean, spacious and with private bathroom. Susan also arranged for parking, and gave us great advices for visiting the city..definitely recommended!

I had a last minute cancellation of the place I initially intended to stay, and was feverishly searching for an alternative when I was at the airport. Susan was very quick in replying that I was welcome to stay with her and Barry. And what a lucky find it was! It was truly a home away from home. Susan and Barry are truly welcoming, caring people, interesting to talk to, and always there when I needed something or had a question. They offered me breakfast even, and were breaking their backs to make my stay comfortable. I have had many pleasant experiences so far on Airbnb, but this was clearly one of the best.

YOU are what makes airbnb work so well. The missed reservation was someone's loss and our gain. All future hosts will be lucky to meet you. Your happy nature and positive vibe are contagious. We will always feel grateful for the good fortune that brought you to us.

The best place to stay in Philly. This is a beautiful historic house owned by welcoming and friendly hosts, strategically located in the center of The city, walking distance from the museums, convention center, city hall and historic Philly. The room is perfectly accommodated, clean and spacious. I highly recommend this place!

This is my first time with Airbnb. I had signed up late for the Philadelphia Marathon, and rooms were scarce. I was lucky to find this place. Location is perfect: one short block from the security check-in point by the Philadelphia Free Library and diagonally across the street from a Whole Foods (and other specialty stores.) Susan and Barry are super hosts, friendly and helpful in every way. Susan had previously run the Philadelphia Marathon, so was both knowledgeable about the course and understanding and accommodating of what my needs would be, such as (1) the very important carb-loading breakfast; (2) timely getting to the Convention Center for race package pick-up; (3) post-race shower and refreshments. Another runner and her father also stayed over. Weather was perfect, too (though my hosts probably were not responsible for that, but who knows?) All-in-all it was great experience.

Response from Susan:
We were very excited that you came to run your first marathon in Philadelphia and your accomplishment of now being a "qualifier" for Boston makes it twice as special! Now that you've begun your marathoning career, remember to come back to Philly where it all started! You are always welcome here.
