Situated just behind the Parliament, in one of the most beautiful streets of central Belgrade, surrounded by local cafés, book-vendors, stores and parks, this stylish apartment filled with artworks and antique furniture is a perfect place to relax!
Right in the heart of Belgrade, in one of its most famous streets, Kosovska, you will find a peaceful oasis where you won't be able to tell how many things are happening on that very same block! The street is crowded with people going about their affairs, or just relaxing in the sun. This lively neighborhood is just behind some of the most dazzling buildings and postcard views of Serbia's Capital City, and minutes away from interesting museums and sights, parks as well as shops, bars and restaurants in the oldest part of the town.
In the elegant building row that pre-dates WWII, behind the National Parliament, you will immediately be pleased to find that the marble covered entrance hall takes you to a silent and cozy apartment facing the paved backyard you will have exclusive access to from the vast living area, composed of a dining room, a living room and a kitchenette with a breakfast bar.
The bedroom and bathroom area, which are in the back of the apartment, have floor heating that will greet you as soon as you set foot out of the comfortable double bed or the relaxing shower. The living area is heated by two beautiful 1930s ceramic tile heaters which, along with the sitting area furniture, are the original features of this stylish apartment. However, the place also has modern touches, such as the iconic bar stools, the artwork and the lighting throughout.
Feel like a true Belgrader! Let yourself relax in the luxury of this elegant pied-a-terre after a busy day of walking, sight-seeing, shopping, bar hopping, clubbing and enjoying everything this lively city has to offer. On the warm spring mornings or the hot summer nights, enjoy breakfast or drinks in our peaceful backyard under the shade of a decades-old linden tree that fills the June days with its perfume. You will find that this place is truly an oasis where you can relax and forget about everything that is happening out there, the noise and the frenzy, while being right in the middle of it... until you step outside the building for a new and exciting Belgrade adventure!
The bedroom has a double bed and a large antique dresser, as well as a small closet full of clean towels and linen, with extra blankets, although the floor heating keeps the room quite warm. You will also get a welcome kit that includes slippers and vanity products such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste... In the bathroom there is a hair dryer and a laundry washer that you can use.
The kitchen is small, but fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave oven, fridge and freezer, toaster and an electric kettle. You will also find all the dishes and kitchenware you might need, along with the breakfast essentials such as coffee, tea, sugar, cereals, biscuits, and seasonings such as oil, vinegar and spices...
In the living room there is a large single daybed, that folds out into a very large double bed, or two single beds, upon request.
The living area has a TV with many international cable channels, and the whole apartment has wi-fi internet.
Interaction with guests
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed to the apartment by my lovely mother, Jelena, who will show you around, answer any of your questions, advise you on moving around town, shopping in the area and such. If you have any reasonable special requests, feel free to ask her. She will also leave her number to the guests for emergencies, and will be as quick as possible to respond to any issues that may occur. In addition, you may also write to the host directly through Airbnb.
Other things to note
Check out my guidebook to see how a Belgrader lives and get the tips for where to go and what to do while you're in town!
Before you arrive, let us know at what time you would like to check in, so that we can organize it. Also, let us know if you are going to be more than 30 minutes late.
Pets are allowed in the apartment, but smoking isn't. Fortunately for the smokers though, there is that backyard where you can step out for a cigarette. We do ask you to use the ashtray that you will find there, and to keep your voices on a moderate level while in the garden and the entrance hall, out of respect for the neighbours.
We also hope you will leave the place as you found it, and report any damage. We appreciate it when the guests take their trash out bofore they leave.
Hello, my name is Jana and I am an art historian from Belgrade, Serbia. I currently live in Rome, where I work as a tour guide. I've made it my mission in life to make people feel welcome wherever I can! Being constantly in touch with the tourists, and a passionate traveller myself, I believe I know a fair share about what people are looking for when they are choosing a place to stay... So I am sure my guests will feel at home in my lovely central Belgrade apartment, and I hope they will enjoy it as much as I do when I come to visit my family and friends.
I also host guests in two more downtown Belgrade apartments, belonging to my aunts, as they too live abroad.
Furthermore, I am happy to let the guests enjoy the pieces of my art collection that were too big to come to Italy with me!
