Our adorable cabin retreat is on the edge of the prairie (National Forest land) with stunning mountain views. You'll be amazed at the spectacular sunsets and the brilliant stars our dark skies offer.
Our cozy cabin is a perfect getaway for couples, artists, writers, or anyone seeking a semi secluded retreat bordering national forest land. The cabin has one spacious bedroom but can sleep a third guest if the futon is also used as a bed. It has a full kitchen and bath, a gas fireplace, and views that will amaze. The patio sits on the edge of a gorgeous prairie where wildlife frequently visit, including deer, elk, and antelope. There is also a propane grill and a wood burning fire pit next to the patio that can be enjoyed in the evenings.
We were very excited that our cabin was featured in an article in Sunset Magazine Online titled "Seven Great Vacation Rentals To Book Now" (see photos in this listing for screen captures of the article).
Guests will have full private use of the cabin and 1 acre property as well as miles and miles of hiking, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing in the adjacent national forest land.
Interaction with guests
We allow our guests complete privacy at the cabin. We live a short distance away, so call if you need us, but enjoy your time and seclusion.
Other things to note
Water is hauled to the cabin. There is an ample supply, but we ask that guests be mindful and not wasteful of this precious resource.
Well behaved dogs may be allowed but must be pre-approved in writing by the hosts. Pets brought to the property without prior host approval will result in forfeiture of the entire security deposit. Approved pets must be crated if left unattended at the property.
No smoking indoors. Cigarette butts must always be properly disposed of.
When county or National Forest Service fire restrictions are in effect, smoking outdoors may also be prohibited (notification will be left in the cabin when restrictions are in effect).
The cabin is in a rural location, but guests are asked to please be respectful of the neighbors and keep noise levels at an appropriate level. Quiet hours are from 10PM to 8AM.
No tent camping allowed on the property at any time.
We are long time residents of Flagstaff and love Northern Arizona for all it has to offer. We love the outdoors and enjoy being out in nature as much as possible. Our cabin is perfectly located for those looking to get away but also be a convenient distance to local attractions and entertainment in Flagstaff, Williams, Sedona and the Grand Canyon National Park. We hope that you will come and enjoy the mountain views, privacy, and amenities at our little cabin getaway.
