Our adorable cabin retreat is on the edge of the prairie (National Forest land) with stunning mountain views. You'll be amazed at the spectacular sunsets and the brilliant stars our dark skies offer.

The space

Our cozy cabin is a perfect getaway for couples, artists, writers, or anyone seeking a semi secluded retreat bordering national forest land. The cabin has one spacious bedroom but can sleep a third guest if the futon is also used as a bed. It has a full kitchen and bath, a gas fireplace, and views that will amaze. The patio sits on the edge of a gorgeous prairie where wildlife frequently visit, including deer, elk, and antelope. There is also a propane grill and a wood burning fire pit next to the patio that can be enjoyed in the evenings.

We were very excited that our cabin was featured in an article in Sunset Magazine Online titled "Seven Great Vacation Rentals To Book Now" (see photos in this listing for screen captures of the article).

Guest access

Guests will have full private use of the cabin and 1 acre property as well as miles and miles of hiking, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing in the adjacent national forest land.

Interaction with guests

We allow our guests complete privacy at the cabin. We live a short distance away, so call if you need us, but enjoy your time and seclusion.

Other things to note

Water is hauled to the cabin. There is an ample supply, but we ask that guests be mindful and not wasteful of this precious resource.

The cabin was great and everything you would hope for. Location was very quiet and the views both during the day and at night did not disappoint. I will definitely come back if my travels bring me back to the area. The hosts were great and very responsive, making sure both myself and my dog were comfortable.

I fell in love with this cabin and northern Arizona last year and came back for another stay! Cindy and Henry are very responsive and great hosts. The cabin has everything you need. It is also centrally located to all that the area has to offer. The property being next to the national forest boundary makes for great views and wildlife viewing. My dog loved the backyard and being able to watch the activity on the prairie. I highly recommend staying here! I hope to be back soon :)

Perfect location for national parks, quick access to highway. House is spacious, clean and fully equipped. Kevin and Cindy quickly responded to all communication. Being next to a National Forest, no telling what you'll see. Stargazing an added pleasure.

Cindy and Henry's house was well located and a peaceful place that we used to visit the Grand Canyon. We also visited Walnut canyon near Flagstaff. It was a clean space with lots of personal touches. We appreciated the large well equipped kitchen. Thanks

Cindy and Henry's Little House on the Prairie was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary in a beautiful, quiet location with all the amenities. We also got permission to bring our 2 dogs and had a wonderful hike in the prairie and saw a whole herd of antelope. The dogs were able to explore the fenced in yard as well. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

We are long time residents of Flagstaff and love Northern Arizona for all it has to offer. We love the outdoors and enjoy being out in nature as much as possible. Our cabin is perfectly located for those looking to get away but also be a convenient distance to local attractions and entertainment in Flagstaff, Williams, Sedona and the Grand Canyon National Park. We hope that you will come and enjoy the mountain views, privacy, and amenities at our little cabin getaway.
